This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
In this posh casino you'll find tables laid out servicing a wide variety of popular games. The most popular of which you well know, Treasure Troll!
Pull up a seat, relax, the bank will loan you 100 gold pieces to get you started!
There is also a lounge where some people are playing another game. Tables and dice are provided for the players. They play a game called Chicanery. If you wish to challenge someone tables are available.
** How to Play - Treasure Troll **
All Players make their initial Wagers and roll a single d6, the "Thief". If a player rolls a 1 the thief sneaks in the "Back way", avoiding the traps. The player goes on to the troll!
All bets close and the Dealer rolls 2d4, the "Traps". If the dealer rolls 7 or 8 the traps are high. All players proceed to the troll.
If a thief is higher than the traps, the player proceeds. If the traps are higher than a thief the player loses. If a thief matches the traps the payout doubles, as the thief finds the "Hoard".
The dealer immediately rolls a single d10, the "Troll". If the dealer rolls a 1 the troll kicks, and the players lose.
Each player must roll a second d6 to escape. Each player may choose to "Dash". If the player chooses to dash they will roll 2d6, and ignore the initial thief roll. If the total is 2 the game is a push. The "Snake" scares the thief away. If a player's total is 11 or 12 they lose, finding the "Maw".
If the total is more than the troll the player wins. If the troll is more than the total the player loses. If the total matches the troll the player wins and the payout doubles, as the thieves find the "Arrow" to defeat the troll.
Example Game:
Bob and Chuck each wager 1 gold
Bob's Thief: (1d6) 1 Bob found the back way and avoids the traps!
Chuck's Thief: (1d6) 5
All bets are closed. Traps: (2d4) 5 Chuck found the Hoard and stands to double his winnings!
Troll: (1d10) 5
Bob attempts to escape: (1+1d6) 4 Bob is caught by the troll. He loses 1 gold.
Chuck makes a Dash, Doubling his Wager (2 gold): (2d6) 7 Chuck escapes with the hoard! He earns 4 gold!
Two players pay an ante and roll a single d6. This is the 'Mark'. Each player has two six-sided dice and one four-sided die.
The objective is to beat your opponent's total. If you beat your opponent's total and don't exceed 10, or total less than 2, you win. If you exceed 10, you are 'Caught', less than 2 is 'Slow'
Each player may pay the ante again to roll a d4 either against or onto the opponent, either subtracting the value from their total or increasing their total respectively. This is a 'Trip' or 'Pull'. Anyone may choose to 'Stand', neither tripping nor pulling, nor paying the additional ante.
Each player then chooses to either roll their second d6 for their total, this is playing 'Straight' or pay the ante again in order to discard the first d6 rolling 2d6 instead (plus any trip or pull), this is using an 'Accomplice'.
Both players roll for their total. The higher total wins, unless it is greater than ten.
If the total is a tie, or if both players are either 'caught' or 'slow', the game is a push and both players keep their wagers.
(Variant: Upfront - no additional antes are paid once the game begins when the players choose to play upfront.)
Example Game:
Daisy challenges Edith to a game of Chicanery!
Daisy pays an ante of 1 gold. Mark: (1d6) 1 (D:2 E:...)
Edith pays the ante of 1 gold. Mark: (1d6) 4 She trips Daisy paying the ante again (2 gold). Trip: (1d4) 2 (D:2-1=1 E:1)
Daisy trips Edith (2 gold). Trip: (1d4) 4 She calls for her Accomplice (3 gold). (D:2-1=1, E:1-3=-2)
Edith uses an Accomplice (3 gold). Accomplice: (2d6) 7-3
BRaddly waits patiently by his table greeting guests as they enter. He will roll the Traps each day at approximately 24-hour intervals if he has players.
Kinnik Featherstone sits at the table to the left of BRaddly (gonna need a description here, BDads). A little taller than the average kenku, Kinnik sports a deep green silk coat with gold trim, crushed black velvet pants and wine-dark leather boots. He also wears a thin golden diadem with a small emerald at its center.
"Let's lose some money," says the bird in a high, fluting voice. A single gold coin appears (almost as if by magic) between his fingers as the words "TREASURE TROLL" flash briefly in a bold script above his head.
BRaddly? Tall and wiry in a black dress shirt with the cuffs rolled to just below the elbows. He has pale blue eyes, and some significant scruff on a pointed chin and long nose bent slightly to the left.
Go ahead and roll you Thief (1d6)
"We've got a taker. Who's going to join this charming fellow?"
A tall warforged, clad in a bright red cape and a captain's hat, swaggers in after the bird. He flips a gold coin onto the table, then rolls the die(3).
"Alright, time to get broke!"
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
"Ignorance is bliss, and you look absolutely miserable."
(Just for fun- I promise Kinnik is just here to play the games:)
Kinnik takes stock of BRaddly (who I can't not picture as Boo Radley from To Kill a Mockingbird) and takes a cursory look around the lounge. Attempting to spot any bouncers, obvious safe locations, etc.
Access to a vault might be possible through the bank, what those in the business call 'the cage'. A few cashier's sit in a large room in the center of the casino and exchange money through barred windows.
If someone needs to go in there to service the computers spells, a guard shadows them around. They aren't allowed to put their hands in their pockets, and every one I've been in it has an airlock type of entrance, where the inner door won't open unless the outer door is shut and vice versa.
(How prevalent is magic in this fantasy world you're weaving? Are magic users eyed askance? Would a level 10 wizard be a god among men or just another cantrip-thrower?)
Magic is common place. Most people can determine their exact location in moments, translate foreign languages, communicate across great distances instantly, and gain access to all of the accumulated knowledge of the world with a simple gesture. However, people still can't seem to separate facts from opinions, and only believe the information that agrees with their existing notions.

Question: Is this at all linked with the Coliseum?
"Ignorance is bliss, and you look absolutely miserable."
It can be, I suppose. If you want to gamble Zevryl's funds you may. So long as I don't need to keep track of it.

Kinnik caws delightedly in greeting as Cap sits at the table. He picks up an ivory die, considers it for just a moment, and tosses it into the box. 1
