The Mushroomancer sends half (15?) of his mushroomy zombies to go and start reanimating the lower half of the basilisk with undead spores. They essentially climb/push their way inside the basilisks lower half and start exploding into spores. This causes mushrooms to sprout all over the place. (Hoping i can get a wriggly zombie mushroom Wurm out of this).
Orders: tell the other 15 zombies to start growing some fungus that continually releases a flammable gas into the main area.
(hmm i guess both of those should kinda be considered "orders"..)
you send 15 fungal zambies into the Basilisk's remains. they proceed to explode (and die). once the spores finish spreading... and regaining sentience... and figure out how to move... you will have a powerful minion. this will take 1d4 + 3 rounds, during which the monster is vulnerable to death. You give your orders! remember, you can make two more posts each round, all equally strong.
The shopkeeper just sorta stares at the sudden death of the basilisk. "Huh. Whaddaya know, I expected you folks to actually fight that thing at some point, but I guess not."
He then pours some more charge into the machine. 6.8/10 for Slimer'd
Store stuff: Angry Peasant: 1 credit
Stored credit: WoobyDoobyDoo: 0.8 credits.
They did fight that thing. its death just wasn't ready to happen, so it went invulnerable for a while.
According to JOEbob the most recent shipment of CHURG totalled in at no less than a full 4 points! Sweetness! The shopkeeper grins and tosses another charge into the CHURG machine (unofficial name, obviously.) 10/10 for Slimer'd 2/2 for Collectibles 0.8/3 for THERE'S A LEEK IN THE BOAT
Wooby wins the auction twice in one post!
The CHURG machine begins exuding something... odd. It begins oozing around the edges, a strange blue goop. If there were anyone around interested in investigating, they'd discover that it was sticky, and also very flammable. The shopkeep just sighs and pulls out a hose, spraying off the CHURG machine.
Meanwhile, back in the Astral Sea where Wooby is, the sky is looking rather wobbly. It begins raining slimes! How is this even possible on the Astral plane!? Most of the slimes that fall down are completely worthless and can be safely ignored by everyone present. But one of them... A single massive slime the size of a small house crashes down, makes a deferrant wobble towards Wooby, and then turns around to crush his enemies.
King Slime summoned! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cj7wuS586Fo The King Slime is a beefier entity, trading off some attack damage for increased health, but also has another special gimmick, every time it takes damage, it spawns a small troupe of "spiked slimes", which are a horde-type entity. Yes, this means it can take damage, be healed up, and then spawn more spiked slimes again upon taking damage, ad infinitum.
2/2 for Collectibles. the shopkeep watches as the CHURG machine prints a receipt out of one of its slots. He curiously takes the receipt and reads it. It appears to be a receipt for 2 dozen "Skylanders" toys, and a single Scroll of Animation.
Meanwhile, in sidequest land, the Animated Skylanders Figurines are summoned. 24 of these figurines are on the field, and their strength is whatever JOE feels appropraite. Aside from being a horde entity, they have no special powers.
Store stuff: Angry Peasant: 1 credit

king slime summoned! 100 hp normalworld ->~40 sidequest, with a slight HP focus turns it to 50. the attack is minuscule (2 at most), as most of its charge goes into summoning spike slime thingys on damage (for every x damage it takes, x spiked slimes spawn.). As well, 24 figurines (.5 hp each) flutter down from the sky and start dragggging their bases along with them. with this influx of forces, and the absence of the Godmodder, the sidequest is looking pretty good!
I create another Precommitment. For 4 turns, Block A actions and Block B actions rotate each turn. Block A: 2 Actions building up the fort. 1 Action building up turrets. Block B actions: 2 actions building up turrets, one action making the drill drill faster.
Block A:
Action 1: I build up the fort. I'm not using Starmetal or Gold while building up the fort while the No Elemental is using it.
you make another precommitment, though I'm not sure why. you build up the fort, using mostly player magic (+8%). also, the Goldenrod is not gold; it is an entirely separate fictional material which has its own advantages and disadvantages. since you wouldn't know its official name, it has been named by its color. the rubys and iron are rubys and iron, but the shadow crystal, starmaterial and goldenrod are entirely different. aside from the fairly common iron, materials will be used at random in most cases, with no guarantee of remotely efficient use, baring your intervention, experimentation and instruction.
pretty sure it just needs to be another player's post, not one in the same playing field.
you only Need one from another player, but I'd prefer same-playing-field ones, since otherwise the dop displays as "quote from pionoplayer [stuff] quote from pionoplayer [stuff] quote from pionoplayer [stuff]."
I use a plane shift spell to enter the side quest dimension
you join SIDEQUEST. the blink dog barks at the peasant, and they play a game of catch. the shoggoth and byakhee both cannot follow acerak, since the sickbay is spike-fillBOOM
....since the sickbay no longer exists, as of the Godmodder's return to the field. GODMODDER: Which of you Idiots killed. My. Basilisk. the mushroom zambies make a mushroom that makes what is pretty much a heavier version of oxygen. woo? the elementals sort the drills output again. (1-5=iron 6-8=goldenrod 9-12=ruby 13-14=shadow crystal 15 then even=star ore else shadow crystal) iron, ruby, iron, shadow crystal, goldenrod, iron, iron, iron, goldenrod. total, 5 iron, 1 ruby, 1 shadow crystal, 2 goldenrod. The construction proceeds to use all 5 iron building the fort further. +25 hp, +8% completion. The NO general thinks about the materials. as it stands, chances are iron's the only thing they're using right, but it has no idea what to do. whatever they're going to do, they need to do it fast, given the Godmodder's returned to the field. for its action, the general keeps working on the starmaterial-goldenrod staff. maybe if they put the goldenrod at the base of the construct, it'll work?
The Godmodder floats in the air, and decides that sometimes new tricks are best tricks. it has changed one thing in the entity list. if you don't find it and state it, it will become permanent, and a new one will appear. this isn't the basilisk thing, since you have nothing to compare it to. ...a side effect of this is that if I missed anything that isn't too major in bookkeeping this round, you can call attention to it and it too will become permanent if it's a good thing.

Wooby, once again the only person providing charge points, wins the auction. The charge gets expended and summons up Hatsune Miku in the sidequest. Miku is for some reason dual-wielding leeks, even though she's not actually going to be attacking anything, because her special ability is attack amplification! Every round, instead attacking on her own, she increases the attack power of another entity. That's pretty simple, right? Anyways, there you go wooby, enjoy your vocaloid.
Orders: Dispose of the basilisk's body inside the fort. Cast a illusion of a storagehouse over it. Begin counter divination to prevent location of the Basilisk and who killed them. If you can make the GM think the Communists did it via a fake divination and framing the commies. The communist's location should be in another univers, on a planet named Earth set in Halo universe. Utilize Future Sight and the Precommitment if necessary, but GM is probably immune to it so don't use it if that is the case. Try anti-scrying wards if necessary, however GM will know you are hiding something if he scrys, so framing multi-universal communists are better.
Okay, so I semi-accidentally deleted my previous post (how you semi-accidentally do something is a little complicated. Basically it's partway making a decision, then deciding not to go through with it then misclicking.) So here's a post to replace it.
The shopkeep continues chewing on his piece of straw, wondering if anyone besides Wooby is going to show any interest in auction process. 1/5 for Mechanical Reaper.
However, since you used two negative words in a sentence meaning yes, like this.
"yes, the NO elemental is a Homestuck"
I'll have to stop you right there, m8. In his original statement, he was gramatically correct. The first no is a basic statement, and the rest of the sentence is a description.
So just a question, why is it that people on the main battlefield have to make 3 posts in order to get all 3 of their actions? That feels like it greatly empowers people like me and rover who can just sit and wait for others to post between us, and severely hampers people like aeisenberg who it seems is only able to really post once per round.
Wouldn't it make more sense to have DefTG's system of everyone getting to use all three of their actions in a singular post?
The mushroomancer walks over to the wriggling corpse of the basilisk that is currently in the process of being reanimated. He doesn't really have feet though its more of like strands of mycelium that protrude from his robes and sort of cling to the ground, pulling him along, kinda like the underside of a starfish. He looks down, silently concentrating, and suddenly thousands of thin strands of the mycelium lash outwards, rooting him to the ground, gradually encasing him and the lower half of the basilisk in a dense fungal cocoon that hardens shortly after.
Orders: As the cocoon forms, the Mushroomancer issues commands to the remaining 15 zombies who are outside of the cocoon to cover each of the flammable gas shrooms in a similar sorta cocoon shell. essentially making them into like 20 foot wide pop-able bombs littered around the main area
The reason Aeisenberg, me, and the other people in the sidequest only post once a round is because rules of the sidequest dictate we are only allowed to post once a round, which kind of makes sense, since it's a different dimension and not the main field and stuff. Also, at the start, Joe would post sidequest updates separately from main field, and they'd usually come out more often.
"Also. RIP Basilisk. That Basilisk got so unlucky I wouldn't be surprised if the No Elemental was a Rogue of Light or something."
