Just like the title, starting a campaign with a Sorcadin at level 3 (2Pal 1Sor)
I can have two common items, or one uncommon. I was thinking Gauntlets of Ogre power (I am strength-focused) but what other items should I consider? Maybe a bloodwell Vial?
Depending on the duration of the campaign and how much MAD your build is. I think that Gauntlets of Ogre power are a solid option if your strength is under 16. Otherwise any magic weapon is much better since it buffs your weapon attacks as well and deals magical damage for the purpose of overcoming resistances.
I’d second a +1 weapon. Though cgarcio has good ideas as well. But that’s going to depend on if you’re actually planning on casting spells vs using your sorcerer Slots for more smites. If you’re just smiting, the Ruby isn’t quite as useful, imo. But if you are casting a bit, then that option is very good.
I'd advise against choosing a +1 weapon over the gauntlets of ogre strength. What if you find a +1 weapon in your campaign? Had you gone with the +1 weapon, that treasure's not as valuable to you. But, if you had the gauntlets AND you find a +1 weapon? Even better.
Plus, it saves you from ever having to increase STR in your character's progression. What do I mean by that? For all intents and purposes, 18 STR might as well be the cap for your sorcadin. You want all sorts of feats and goodies. You want warcaster, you want CHA, and STR? That's not even touching on the goodies for martials like PAM and GWM. In your character's career, you'll probably only find the chance to increase STR once before needing to focus on another stat or feat.
That said, you may want to look into creating your character without starting in 16 STR. You could lower it to 13, and use those points to increase DEX, or WIS. This is the type of flexibility that starting with gauntlets allows you.

Moon touched sword. It's a common magic item, but it is magical. So, it will overcome resistances.
Ruby of the War Mage. Just to make your life easier when it comes to being a gish.
Campaign is Decent Into Averness, so 1-13. Current strength is at 16.
