I am a TOG fan so I thought I'd see if anybody else was interested in doing a campaign based off of that.
I am a first time PbP dm, although I have dmed in person a bit.
It will take place before magic fell and the original series starts. Characters will start in Varese, the capital of Wendlyn. The city (and country) is ruled by King Glaston Ashryver.
How to join: make a first level character. The races need to be either changeling if you are a shifter, a human if you have no magic/raw magic/healing magic, half-elf for demi-Fae, or elf if you are Fae. (If anybody has a better race for that, let me know.) Or, if you want to play a Crochan/Ironteeth, that would work too, I just don't know what race would fit the best. If you have a good reason for being another race or why another race 'fits' then I'm open to that as well. If you want to reflavor a race to make it work better just run it by me first.
Also, the 'Fae' (Elf race) will be replacing Fey Ancestry and Trance with the ability to shapeshift into one predetermined beast with a challenge level of 1/4 or below a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus per long rest. The mechanics will work like the druid's wild shape.
As for classes, shifters and humans with no magic need to stick to no magic classes/subclasses. Those with raw magic, those who are Fae, and demi-Fae can do magic classes, although the spells you chose may be a bit more limited, although reflavoring some of the spells could potentially work. Healers could be a paladin/cleric, but all spells would need to be healing or reflavored. (IE inflict wounds only works on the Valg.) As with race, if you have a good reason for being a class, go for it, just explain why.
To apply:
Ability Scores: (Standard Array, point buy, or rolling rerolling any ones once)

Alternatively, if people would rather do an ACOTAR or Crescent City campaign, I can do that, TOG just seemed easiest to transform.
I had no idea that there were other ToG fans on the forums. I've read up to Heir of Fire.

Name: Aspen
Race(I'd recommend the UA Dhampir or Hexblood for Ironteeth. I'm not sure about Chrocan): Fae(I'm using Eladrin)
Class: Fey Wanderer Ranger
Backstory:
Aspen was born in a minor noble house. His parents gave him to Queen Maeve when he was young, hoping that he would become one of Maeve's servants. When he developed teleportation magic after being mostly ignored for a year or two, Maeve gave him to Fenrys to train as a warrior. I'll work on it later, but this is what I have so far.
Country you are from: Wendlyn
Time period you'd like to play: I think Elena/Brandon would work best, since magic isn't available in Erilea in most well documented eras.
I would recommend reading the other ones when you can because the Elena/Brannon era has some (and by some I mean a lot) of spoilers and I haven't read the books for a while so I don't want to accidentally do something in QoS or beyond.
Also, because you are Fae I am toying with the idea of letting you choose a creature with challenge level 1/4 or below you can change into a number of times equal to your ___modifier. What do you think? I was thinking it could either replace an elven trait or just be a bonus in the setting.

Maybe replacing Fey Ancestry and Trance? Neither of those are really Fae traits, and shapeshifting is probably about as powerful as the two together.
So I have not read any of this series but an always open to new stories. I was thinking a Changeling rouge. If your only wanting folks familiar with TOG no hard feelings.

I like that. Any idea on what mod it should be for how many times you can use it per long rest?

You are welcome to join. I'll try to make things more easily understandable for those who haven't read the books. It is a really good series by Sarah J. Maas if you want to check it out, I recommend it.

I'm sorry, I don't know what that is. Kind of new to the forums in general and so haven't learned all the abbreviations yet.

I like that. Makes sense. Any beast with challenge level 1/4 or lower.

I'm thinking giant rat.
I think it would work like druids wild shape as far as technicalities. Also, giant rat is cool!
Unfortunately, I don't think I'll join this time since I'm already in a few campaigns, but as a massive TOG fan I just wanted to pop in and say this looks really cool! Low key maybe I've based a rogue/assassin character on Celaena before 😂

If you ever finish a campaign or find more time in your schedule, let me know and we can see if we're in a spot where a new character could theoretically join, assuming it's still going on. I totally have based a character on Celaena before as well. Her sass is just legendary. 😂

I have a weird sense of humor.
I also make maps.(That's a link)
Since you are Fae, what are you thinking for your 'magic'?
Eladrin teleportyness and ranger spells.
