I was looking through the adventures and found this because I’m running a homebrew and wanted to see what other people created. I’m also new ish so i hope this is easier than my homebrew.
Deep beneath the surface of the world lies the Underdark, a realm of endless labyrinthine tunnels and caverns where the sun never shines. The Underdark is filled with races and creatures too numerous to count or list, and foremost among these are the dark elves — the drow. Hated and feared even by their fellow dwellers in darkness, the drow raid other settlements in the Underdark as well as the surface world, taking prisoners back with them. Rendered unconscious with drow poison, then collared and shackled, these prisoners are eventually sold as slaves or entertainment in the dark elves’ subterranean cities.
The adventurers have all had the misfortune of falling to such a fate. Captured by the drow, they are prisoners at one of the dark elves’ outposts, awaiting transportation to Menzoberranzan, the City of Spiders. Whether they came into the Underdark seeking knowledge or fortune, or were just in the wrong place at the wrong time, they were ripe prey for a drow raid. Please send me a pm if you would like to join
character back story’s should somehow lead them to the underdark and get captured. Also I’ll be rolling a 1d10 to determine the number of days you have been there. If you succeed on escape you will receive all the basic items you have on your character, escaping will be hard and will take help.
all characters start off in the slave pen after being there for some amount of days with shackles Around neck and wrists and chains all around, this restricts you from doing hard stuff but doesn’t restrict movement.
all characters start at lvl 1, use standard array for abilities also the all the basic rules on this website
When Uradurk was young, his tribe was attacked by fiends. He was left for dead, but managed to survive. His dreams are haunted by faces of demons and devils, so much that he has become fluent in some of their languages. He has moved from place to place, never finding a steady home, but his ability to speak Undercommon led him into the Underdark, where he could trade with merchants enough to get by. One day, while dealing with a dark elf, he was ambushed and shackled, thrown into a cart, and knocked unconscious.
Grailkic himself was born in the underdark, living with his clan and a few others that had been trying to rebuild a new city after the destruction of the once great city of Blingenstone. While he was born longer after it fell he was raised on stories of it and the great deeds of his ancestors that lived there. As he grew older and showed prowess as a warrior he was chosen to help guard when they went out mining for gemstones and ore for new weapons and tools. On one such mining expedition his group was ambushed by drow that had mamanged to ambush them with the use of magic. While he and the other guards fought well Grailkic had got hit with a bolt covered in the famous drow sleep poison, waking up in chains an unknown amount of time later.

Rekuberk Onc Level 8 | Half Orc | Barbarian (The Tales of the Fellowship of the White Cloaks)
Tarhun Delmirev was a Dragonborn with a strong sense of justice ever since he was a whelp. He joined a convent dedicated to the god of justice himself, Tyr when he was four years old. Raised as one of its paladins, Tarhun excelled in his studies, steadfastly devoted to the cause. When it came time for him to being his pilgrimage to do good in the world, however, he was at a loss. The world was filled with injustice, what was one man to do against such an onslaught? After some traveling, talking to locals from his each of his visits, gaining perspective on the way of the world that wasn't from old books at a convent, Tarhun realized the answer to his question. The Underdark. A source of much evil and injustice in the world. Tarhun would show it the light of justice.
That plan didn't go too well. Venturing into the Underdark by oneself is a hubris quickly quashed by the much craftier Drow. Tarhun was ambushed and captured, his fate now rested in the hands of the Drow.

Xullraema Torate was born and raised among her people, the Drow. She has always wanted to have access to more power and knowledge than anyone else. An opportunity to do this recently presented itself. While wandering through the underdark, she met a group of myconids. Although they were wary at first, eventually then let her into one of their mindmelds. It was during this meld that she was contacted by a sinister and powerful force. This force offered her a pact that would in time give her great power. Xullraema immediately accepted. However, she was being spied on by another drow, one whom she had thought to be a friend, who reported what was happening to the drow higher-ups. They captured Xullraema and imprisoned her for consorting with the myconids, enemies of the drow.

Horatio Hirschfeld - Squire imbued with fae powers, in the Coliseum of Conquest (W2/L1) DM for Reavers of Harkenwold, and sometimes The Fighting Grounds of the Coliseum
((OCC Sorry, I'm gonna have to slip right back out! Seeing how long it took me to actually get here to type, I might be too slow for this Campaign... So i hope y'all the best!!))
Arric is 3'5" tall, he is in peak physical condition, and weighs in at just 43 pounds of sinewy muscle. He has milk chocolate brown hair, that always manages to get tussled, and emerald green eyes. He keeps a finely trimmed goatee and mustache that twists up finely at the end of it's own accord. When in his own choice of clothing he wears a button down collared shirt, simple belt, and a pair of fairly loose fitting low end pair of pants. He also wears a pair of nicer black studded leather boots his father gave him, and a duster jacket that his mother made and sent to him while he was staying at the Monastery. His clothes are all off whites and browns, colors that are muted like he wishes the world was around him. His jacket however was not his choice in color, but he wears it out of respect for his mother, it is a burgundy color with white thread used for the bits that are sewn on, and gold cuff links. Typically he is also seen carrying a Bo Staff made of a dark colored wood that is highly polished.
Backstory:
From birth Arric has suffered the worlds incessant need to bombard him with sounds, from the neighing of horses, the chatter of his 11 siblings, to the clank clank clank clanking of the smithies hammer down the street from his family hovel, it infuriated him. While some tolerance has been been obtained strictly out of necessity, Arric has been searching since birth for the ultimate silence; a place where he can truly be completely and utterly without sound. His parents never quite understood why Arric was so bent on sealing himself off from his sense of hearing, but they couldn't deny him his constant barrage of requests to leave the city of his birth any longer, and at the age of 12 Arric and his father journeyed to the Monastery of Deneir where Arric took his vows and began training with the Monks.
The monks of the temple kept a vow of silence while in their sacred monastery, communicating instead through the written word and each message was treated as a piece of art where highly stylized and personal calligraphy was used to convey the necessary information. This was perfect for Arric as it meant that the monks never spoke, and even their footsteps were few and far between as they spent a good deal of their day in their personal chambers perfecting the art of writing. There was exception to this of course, the monks kept up a strict regimen of physical training which included training ones body so that one's mind and hand would be connected by the best conduit for words to flow to paper, as well as combat training to protect the monastery versus those who would seek to plunder and/or take over the monastery. Arric preferred to train alone, or at best with only his tutor, so he would often confine himself to the library during the training of the other monks and then would venture out and do his own training at a separate time
If Arric is completely honest he didn't care much for the writing itself, however he did take a liking to the maps he found during his time in the library of the Monastery. He would stare at them and daydream of the far off lands, removed from civilization, unspoiled by the sounds of mankind. One in particular took his fancy more than any other, it depicted a great realm beneath the feet of those above, with what would sometimes be hundreds of feet of stone and rock separating anyone in this realm from the lands above. It was mostly uncharted, and the stories said it was vast and most uninhabited. Arric formulated a plan to venture into this place and find his sanctuary, but he found instead was that the stories of an uninhabited silent place, were wrong....
Kira Davish, like many half-drow, had a rough upbringing. One that gave her a penchant for crime and a thirst for righteous vengeance. Never having met her drow mother, Kira spent her early years running cons, lifts, and second story jobs with her father in order to provide for their small family (which also included her younger human half-brother and half-sister set of twins). Kira's father died during her late teens when a heist they planned ended in betrayal; leaving her with the twins, a torn black velvet mask, and a list of enemies, a list she vowed to shorten. That vow brought her the attention of Mask, the God of Thieves and through his divine intervention, she began her training as a Paladin of the Cult of Shadows.
While in training with the Cult of Shadows, Kira learned that her father was a member himself and even held significant rank in the organization as a demarche (priest). What's more, she learned that her father and mother had met during a cooperative assignment between the cult and the drow followers of Vhaeraun, the dark elf God of Thieves. Intrigued, as this was the most information she had ever discovered about her mother, Kira dug deeper discovering her father had met with her mother mere days before the heist that cost him his life. Kira was shocked, as her father had never mentioned the meeting or any other details regarding her mother. Even still, she put the information in the back of her mind in order to focus on her training, until one day the interrogation of a target she had tracked down lead to the revelation that the criminal organization that had killed her father were themselves in contact with the followers of Vhaeraun threw a female dark elf contact. Now unable to ignore a possible avenue of insight into both the events surrounding her fathers death and the identity of her mother, Kira decided it was time to make contact with the drow. Kira used her connections within the Cult of Shadows to arrange a meeting with a contact from the followers of Vhaeraun in hopes of gaining information and an informant to be her eyes and ears in the Underdark. She got much more than she could imagine...
Estrovel has never fully understood how and why it happened. One day, just as he has reached his first century of life, he started hearing whispers when no one was around. These whispers were inaudible at first but they started becoming clearer with each day. Meanwhile, as he learned and studied magic, he would find that the spells he could cast always had a sort of more reddish tinge or effect. Other times, they would manifest with a sort of black and red flame alongside it. He had also wondered about not being able to cast certain spells that his contemporaries could manage to do. During one trip to Waterdeep, he was attacked and cut by a thief when suddenly the thief began to burst into black and red flames. When the flames subsided and the thief's smoldering body lay motionless on the cobbled streets, Estrovel heard the whispers in his ear, stronger and much more clear than before. "Yes. You are becoming stronger! Soon you will be able to enact my will upon this world, my sweet, sweet pawn." After that event, Estrovel began studying and learned that he had a sort of pact with an unknown fiend, possibly from the Nine Hells considering he was able to understand a text written in Infernal long before he had learned what it was. Seeing his powers as a curse and something that could soil his family's good name, he set out to find a way to break his pact. He fled from his home, leaving his family a note saying that he is going on a journey of discovery and that it would not be of their interest to find him. His search of a way to undo the pact has led him to a legend of an artifact in the Underdark that could be able to undo his pact. And so he set out to journey down there, even going so far as to learn the dialect that they use. He just hopes that he wouldn't bump into any drow soon...
Some are molded by the dangers of this world and others are part of it. For his entire life Treston has been raised to do and enjoy one thing: the hunt. Having never known his real parents he was sold early on to a band of mercenaries who took him in and trained him as their own. They trained him in the art of battle, war, killing and hunting. Perhaps it was his elven roots or his natural love for battle outsides but he enjoyed the outside environment and felt ease under the stars at night. Yes he loved the lifestyle as a ranger, he knew no other life and that was fine for him. He continued for many years as part of the mercenary group helping support many battles, constantly training with his bow.
Leaving the battles and taking on work as a privately paid hunter he found much work in the underdark While this wasn't his favorite area, he disliked the people and creatures that lived in the underdark, he appreciated the mentality that the strong will survive and advance. Over the years more training and hunting in the area gave him an increasingly level of comfort and ease being around the underdark. While he felt a twinge in the back of his head over the acts of evil and cruelty he witnessed in the underdark he had to suppress the call to action and justice he felt inside. Justice doesn't pay and acts of foolish bravery gets people killed. Yet, on the inside he continued to get stronger, both to be a hunter and to finally find something worth fighting and saving...
During one of his routine hunts (looking for a particular person after being employed by a client with deep pockets) in the underdark he stepped in to protect a small girl from a group of drow in a fight where he had no business being part of and he awakened without his weapons and in shackles. Clearly, this would take some work getting out of this situation...
Mundis was born to help other people, she felt like it as if it was her duty, when she was very young her parents were killed, and she vowed to help and protect the people of her home. She set off to learn and grow as much as she could, she learned lots, including spells and languages. But there was one place that she had yet to visit, the underdark a place full of mystery, and danger, and people to help. So when she turned 19 she ventured down, but picked the wrong day to traverse the underdark.

Horatio Hirschfeld - Squire imbued with fae powers, in the Coliseum of Conquest (W2/L1) DM for Reavers of Harkenwold, and sometimes The Fighting Grounds of the Coliseum
During the past 3 days of his capture Treston has been lightly conversing with the other prisoners, any in particular who respond back, as he is certain he will need allies in his escape. He also checks the shackles and chains to assess their quality to see if he can perhaps escape from them. After scavenging a gold coin he takes a potential interest to Jimjar in hopes of future use of this gold coin to entice the gnome.
He looks to the other prisoners, no one in particular, and says "Has anyone learned anything useful about our captors"
Grailkic was quiet and only spoke to the other deep gnomes in the pen, making sure that he spoke only in gnomish. He kept a close watch on the spider he had managed to capture, making sure he did not harm it as that would likely get him either tortured or if he was unlucky enough killed in seconds. In his days as a captive he had seen the other members of his mining group disappear one after the other until it was just him and he figured it wouldn't be long until he himself was drug away to some gruesome fate. Out of the other deep gnomes in the cave he found he could tolerate the gambler a bit better.

Phineas Fop wakes up and looks about at the others giggling, a happy broad smile on her face as she spies the individual next to her, a Gnome (Grailkic) noticing that he has a rather delicious looking living spider the size of a tarantula, she curses thinking, oh gawds I slept through lunch! She looks about, "hey where is my spider, somebody ate my spider!!! What is this world coming do a girl cannot even take a nap without someone snatching her lunch from right out from under her.... inconsiderate bastards... what gall."
Turning to the Gnome in a shrill voice she calls out, "hey you... yeah you Gnome boy... yeah I'm talking to you!" Pointing to the spider she asks, "you gonna eat that... if not then perhaps we can work out some kind of arrangement, a trade perhaps, I happen to have a magic pebble that will open any lock." She licks her lips eyeing the spider like a kitty eyes a mouse.
It does not take long for Phineas to get bored, by the look of things this is going to be a touch room for a Jester to work and by the look of everyone, they just are not getting the humor in their current situation so she decides to brighten everyone spirits by singing a surprising haunting song...
