Kierro, Yuno, and Tess, give general descriptions of your characters for starters. Yuno is still finishing up her talk with the innkeep, so let's wait for that to finish prior to rping the three of you getting together.
(OOC: Yuno, Kierro, and Tess can post rp now as well...)
The innkeeper, Graemar, smiled as Yuno accepted his offer. "Glad to hear that," he said, nodding. He began counting out the appropriate amount of gold and silver coins to pay Yuno for her goods. With a deft motion, he handed over a pouch filled with coins, clinking with the promise of profit. As Yuno completed the sale and pocketed her earnings, a subtle shift in the atmosphere caught her attention. Turning slightly, she noticed two figures approaching her at the bar. A man with an air of calm and an engaging smile, followed by a woman with an aura of curiosity and a hint of mischief in her eyes. They seemed to have a purposeful stride, moving with the kind of confidence that drew attention.
Kierro stands at a humble 5' 9". He stands with a calm poise, dressed in a plain white robe over a set of armor. Around his neck is the symbol of a rising sun, which gives off a soft glow of holy power. His blue eyes seem to reflect a warm, sunlit sky.
Once Yuno finishes her conversation at the bar, Kierro waves gently. "Good morning! My name is Kierro - I couldn't help but notice that you seemed a bit familiar to Tess and I. Any chance we've met before?"
Tess is a stunning red-haired girl, over 6’ tall, clad in fine embroidered emerald clothes, carrying a lute-like bandore. She has finished her lunch, but is still sipping on a mug of hot tea as she nimbly approaches, a confident smile on her face. She nods at Kierro, and speaks as well- with a melodic voice and a subtle accent... “Perhaps, like us, you feel some of your memories are.. missing? I am Tess”
Yuno takes the pouch from the innkeeper. She would like to count it but she senses people approaching. Securing the pouch to her belt, she slowly turns around to face the two newcomers. She is wearing a simple green tunic and a belt. She is wearing expensive looking pants and shoes however. On her belt hangs a sheathed Bastard Sword and a small dagger for self-defense. She is shorter than both Tess and Kierro, being 5ft 8. She has long brown hair kept in a neat side ponytail (i.e Dead Anime Mom hair style). Overall, Yuno looks unremarkable, like how one would imagine "a typical town girl" or a minor character in a story.
She looks over both Tess and Kierro before speaking. Her voice is soft and meek. "Um... Hello. I'm Yuno. I... don't think we've met before."Tess mentioning missing memories catches Yuno's interest. "I-That's right. I am having trouble... remembering things. How did you know?"
“Kierro and I met earlier- we both found ourselves near here, not knowing much more than our names, but we felt connected somehow, the same way we felt a connection to you- like we knew one another in a prior life. We wondered if there were others- and then you came in. I wonder if there are more? And who we were. Do you have any memories of dragons?”
She smiles warmly, glancing at the woman’s weapons and attire.
"It is a pleasure to meet you, Yuno. We were fortunate to encounter each other, and now you. Perhaps we might be able to travel alongside each other, so we might discover our pasts? I can recall little, except for my purpose and a vague connection to dragons, as Tess mentioned."
Kierro maintains polite eye contact, a soft smile on his face.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Yuno shakes her head and says, "Sorry... I don't remember anything about dragons." She quickly added, "B-but you are right. I do feel a strange connection to you. Maybe... we did know each other before... whatever caused us to lose our memories."
Turning to Kierro, Yuno continues, "Yes. Maybe traveling together to discover our lost memories would be for the best... But I am afraid I promised someone I'd do something." Yuno explains, "I woke up in the woods near here, knowing only my name. I ventured deeper into the woods and got attacked. I was saved by a spirit of the woods and they asked me to awaken 'the guardian' in the forest. I agreed to help them out as thanks... but I couldn't do it with only a bastard sword. So... I promised I'd come back and I left the woods to search for some way to get better weapons and armor. On the way I... found a crate of spirits and... I brought it here to sell it."
Kierro raises an eyebrow when Yuno mentions not knowing anything about dragons, but her mentioning the connection clears any suspicion in his head. (Insight 17)
"Attacked, you say? Goodness, I hope you were not injured - and I'm glad the spirit was able to save you. There must be a weaponsmith in town, and perhaps we might be able to assist with finding this guardian as well. Did they tell you anything else about it?"
(insight 2 lol). “Certainly, we should travel together. I woke with nothing, but I can help you with this quest, it seems it is worthy. I love natural places.”. Tess says. She’s so entranced by the story of a spirit of thr woods and a guardian of the woods, Yuno could have told her anything.
Yuno nodded, "I... I appreciate the help." Then answering Kierro, she says, " No. They did not tell me anything about the Guardian. They did promise to show me the way when I returned to the forest. Maybe... they will tell me when I go back? And... I'm fine. I got bit by wolf but it is nothing to worry about. (20/25 HP)"
Yuno wonders how much Tess and Kierro know. Have the found a small part of their memories and an important item like she did? Or did they come here straight after waking up?
"I... Need to buy a set of armor... and a backpack, and a slightly better set of clothes. Another Bastard Sword if I have gold to spare." She pauses before asking, "But... do either of you need any supplies? I have... around 69 GP and... after buying the armor and clothes and backpack, I could try to use what's left to buy any supplies that you might need... if I still have enough to pay for it of course."
Kierro nods. "If we get into danger once more I will be able to heal you. Just let me know!"
"We should be good on supplies.. right, Tess? I have a longsword you can use - I don't really use weapons. I believe I've passed a shop on the way here; we can show you the way there."
Yuno agrees to be taken to the shop. "I... would appreciate that." She then adds, "I also appreciate the offer to lend me your sword but... if we are attacked, wouldn't you need it to fight as well?"
Yuno says, "Well... if you say so. I wouldn't mind taking the sword. Though I would still need to buy the other things such as armor and the backpack."
The sun hung high in the sky as Kierro, Yuno, and Tess walked back through the lively streets of Greenest towards the bustling market square. The town was alive with activity as locals and visitors alike went about their business, and the air was filled with the pleasant aroma of street food and the sound of merchants peddling their wares. As the trio approached the market square, they couldn't help but be drawn in by the colorful stalls and the array of goods on display. The vibrant atmosphere was infectious, and Kierro couldn't help but feel a sense of wonder at the variety of items for sale. They decided to start their shopping expedition at a stall run by a friendly merchant named Eldrin. Eldrin was a portly man with a jovial smile, his stall filled with all manner of goods, from clothing to small trinkets. He greeted them warmly as they approached. "Ah, good day to you, travelers! What can I help you find today?" Eldrin asked, his eyes twinkling with curiosity as he sized up the group's potential needs.
"Yes. Um Good day." Yuno greeted politely. "Would you happen to have some armor for sale? Some Leather Armor? And... a backpack? And also... a simple brown dress with a long skirt and a white Apron?"
The merchant, a stout man named Eldrin with a ruddy complexion and a friendly demeanor, smiled warmly at Yuno's polite greeting. He had a variety of goods laid out on tables and racks, and he listened attentively to her requests. "Good day to you too, miss," Eldrin replied with a nod. "Certainly, we've got a fine selection of goods right here. Leather armor, you say? Let me check." He moved to a nearby rack and began sorting through the items. After a moment, he held up a set of well-crafted leather armor, giving it a satisfied nod. "Here we go, a sturdy set of leather armor. It should provide you with decent protection." Next, he led her to another section where various backpacks were displayed. "For a backpack, we have a few options." He showed her a couple of different styles, from simple to more ornate. "Take your pick, whichever suits your needs." Finally, Eldrin led Yuno to a rack of clothing. "Ah, dresses, we have a few. A simple brown dress with a long skirt and a white apron, you say?" He pulled out a dress that matched her description, holding it up for her to see. "Here you go, miss, a fine choice." Eldrin paused, giving her an inquisitive look. "Is there anything else you're looking for today? We've got a variety of goods to suit all your needs."
(i think notifications were broken for me- sorry!). Tess quietly declines the offer of the sword, and follows along with the other two thoughtfully. “I prefer magic as well” she says. She carries no weapons, just her musical instrument.
when the shopping is nearly done, she asks the merchant ”Eldrin- do you perhaps have.. some leather armor, or studded leather, that might fit my frame? It occurs to me it might be wise”. she smiles at the merchant. “although i may need to earn some more coin to pay for it”.
Kierro offers a kind smile to Tess. “If you need more coin for your armor, I would be happy to share some of mine. Best to protect ourselves as best we can.” He offers.
