Why are you visiting the shrine of Bahamut the Platinum dragon?
Sample of RPGing with this character.
Artwork representation of character optional, but would be nice.
This thread will remain up for a week.
The origin of Dragon’s Rest is rooted in the ancient conflict between the good metallic dragons—gold, silver, bronze, brass, and copper—and the evil chromatic dragons—red, blue, green, black, and white. Ages ago, metallic dragons imprisoned a rampaging red dragon beneath the ocean floor. But the red dragon’s fury caused the undersea volcanic activity that formed Stormwreck Isle, the island on which Dragon’s Rest stands
Why are you visiting the shrine of Bahamut the Platinum dragon? Thrain reveres the destructive potential of dragons
Sample:
Thrain Gemheart stood in the dimly lit alley, a mischievous grin on her dwarven face as the shady figures drew weapons. "Back off now, or you’ll regret it," Thrain warned, gripping an arcane focus—a finely cut sapphire on a silver chain. When the thugs charged, Thrain's eyes gleamed with excitement. With a flick of her wrist, the sapphire pulsed with energy, and a fireball erupted from its core, engulfing the alley in a blaze of heat and light. The explosion sent the attackers sprawling, their clothes singed and their courage shattered.
As the leader scrambled to his feet and fled with the remaining thugs, Thrain's laughter echoed off the walls. "Told you, didn’t I?" Thrain called after them. Dusting off her hands, Thrain retrieved the dropped spell scroll and tucked it into her pouch. The thrill of the encounter still coursing through her veins, Thrain turned and strolled out of the alley, already eager for the next explosive adventure.
Why are you visiting the shrine of Bahamut the Platinum dragon?: To atone for my sins.
Sample of RPGing with this character:
"My daughter, these past few weeks I have hearing disturbing things." the old man looked at Shayla with warm brown eyes.
"What kinds of things father?" Shayla looked up from her studies.
"Oh you know the kinds of things that I was trying to get you away from when I found you?" he smiles and shakes his head with a regretful smile. "You gave those things up yes?"
"Of course! I've been clean since I joined the church." she blows a wayward lock of hair out of her face.
The priest nods, "Well I think it would be a good idea if you went to the temple of Bahamut and made an offering."
"Sure thing father, I'll pack right away." closing her book.
"Remember, Strength of Heart, Strength of Mind, Strength of Body."
"Yes father," and she knocked elbows with the surprisingly muscular arms of the man who literally saved her life.
Artwork representation of character optional, but would be nice.
Background i was walking back to my village when i saw the flames and heard the screams but worst of all i saw the orcs charging at my home town. i had just finished picking apples from the orchard i worked in. I dropped everything and started running for my life never looking back. i ran and ran not knowing when or were i would stop, finally after what felt like hours i collapsed not in pain but in sadness. i lay there with the burden of being the soul survivor of an entire village. as i lay there waiting for death i saw the most beautiful sight that i just couldn't describe. then i fell asleep when i awoke i was on a bed of soft moss and i knew at that moment i had become i druid. but i also knew that i must destroy all who get in my way to kill the orcs who did this.
Why are you visiting the shrine of Bahamut the Platinum dragon? to find the strength to avenge my village

'hello how are you doing' said the cart driver as Asher stepped into the carriage.
'good enough' said Asher in a slightly annoyed voice.
puzzled at the sudden burst of annoyance the driver turned to face Asher he suddenly gasp as he saw that Asher was a goblin.
'get the hell out of my carriage' the driver yelled making Asher jump. the driver reached over the seat and shoved him out of the vehicle and speed off. as Asher lay there a small tear ran down his cheek
i hope you let me in to the campaign just one more thing i don't actually have the goblin race in dnd beyond so if you would be willing to share it if you have it. it would be much appreciated if you don't i will make him another racially abused race
I only have the goblin race in printed books, but here is something helpful https://www.skullsplitterdice.com/blogs/dnd/goblin-5e We could work with a printed character sheet rather than a digital one. The standard rule is to use a standard array 15 14 13 12 11 10 then apply a bonus of 2 and 1 on ability scores . Set the sheet up as human. We know you are a goblin and can apply features in game.
Subclass: Oath of Redemption (happy to play Devotion)
Background: Soldier (flavoured as a knight-errant)
Why are you visiting the shrine of Bahamut the Platinum dragon?
As a follower of the Platinum Dragon, Theodor began a pilgrimage across the Forgotten Realms to guide those towards virtues expressed by Bahamut, and to offer redemption to those who have been led wayward by evil. He has heard the shrine at Stormwreck Isle is known for its teachings of wisdom and peace, and hopes to prove his piety of the Platinum Dragon.
Sample of RPGing with this character.
Theodor stands over the smuggler, glaring down at the defeated criminal.
The smuggler looks up Theodor, "What are you waiting for? Just kill me"
Theodor shakes his head slowly, "I'm not going to kill you, I am offering you a choice." He bends down to one knee to make his eyes level with the bloodied smuggler.
"Smuggling other humanoids makes you one of the lowest pieces of scum alive. I should remove you from this life, but I know you can do better. You are a victim of circumstance, but have made bad choices."
"You will atone for your wrongdoings, I will help you. But if you ever misstep again, I will not be so tolerant."
Theodor stands up and offers his hand to the smuggler on the ground.

I am curious why there is the request for the time zone if this is going to be a play-by-post as usually that doesn't matter in this style of game?
I'm potentially interested pending on what the reason for the time zone request is.
Ya know what maybe someone in the campaign might have the goblin race they can share and another thing what's a play by post?
