The time has come. I am recruiting 4 (max 6 if it is a hard choice) people for a campaign starting at level 3. I am happy to do a pre-published module (though not sure of which start at level 3) or a custom campaign built around backstories. Only content from the 2024 PHB is to be used(except magic items as none are released yet)
To apply please post below (or DM me) in the following format:

Applications will close around the 25th Sep, depending on how many responses this gets.
Stats (roll, reroll 1s once. If you don't like the rolls, use standard array): Post Above (Got the manipulated rolls warning from trying to put a picture in)
Backstory (Make sure it ties your background, class and subclass together): Cassian was born into a small, isolated human village where superstition and fear of the unknown ruled. From the moment his left eye was noticed—with its black sclera and white iris—the villagers whispered that he was cursed or the spawn of a devil. Even his family, afraid of what he might become, kept him at arm’s length. The villagers' rejection stung deeply, but rather than fall into bitterness, Cassian grew determined to prove them wrong. He refused to let their fears define him. Salvation came in the form of a wandering paladin named Joy. To Cassian's surprise, Joy was a Hexblood, part green hag and part mortal, who had dedicated her life to redemption despite her dark heritage. She, too, had been feared and misunderstood, but rather than fall into wickedness, she took the Oath of Redemption and set out to help those in need. Seeing herself in the young boy, she took Cassian under her wing and trained him in the ways of the Oath of Devotion. Through her guidance, he learned to embrace compassion and justice, wielding his blade not only to strike down evil but also to protect the weak and offer second chances. (If older material isn't allowed in backstories either, Joy was a Chthonic Tiefling Oath of Devotion paladin.)
Magic item to start with (common only): Lantern of Tracking (6)
Campaign preference (either specific pre-published, or a homebrew one): Homebrew, anything vaguely horror-ish really
"grandpa" Salkur, Gnome Arti/Sorc: Forged in Chaos | Pepin, Human Arti/Cleric: Goblin horde | Mixtli, Volc Genasi Arti: Champions of the Citadel | Erix Vadalitis, Human Druid: Rising from the last war |Smithy, Human Arti: Night Ravens: Black orchids for Biscotti | Tamphalic Aliprax, Dragonborn Wizard: Chronicles of the Accursed | Doc, Dwarven Cleric (2024): Adventure at Hope's End | Abathax, Tiefling Illriger: Hunt for the Balowang | Gorin Mestel, Human Arti: Descend into Avernus
Backstory: Naldek has always been a little different. His powers manifested earlier in his life and caused quite a stir in his small village. Rumors of his talents reached a school for magic that quickly sent an invitation for Naldek. He was glad to leave his small village behind and dove eagerly into his studies. But unlike the wizards that made up the majority of the school, magic came easier to Naldek and he began to grow restless within the walls of the school. One day he set out to make is own fortune and never looked back.
Magic item to start with: Cloak of Many Fashions
Campaign preference: Icewind Dale or homebrew (really up for anything)
Name (and gender/pronouns): Hrain Gauswyn, woman, she/her
Species: Drow
Class and Subclass: Soulknife Rogue
Background: Sage
Stats: 12 15 14 10 12 14
Backstory: Hrain was an orphan, and her earliest memories are that of her psionic powers manifesting as a young child and being taken quickly from the large city she was born in to a secluded order of warriors and scholars dedicated to the protection of an ancient royal-affiliated family with equally ancient enemies. She was raised to be unquestioningly loyal to the order and the family they safeguarded, and she was taught to use her psionic skills in their defense. Hrain was close in age to the family's only heir - a young elven woman named Alena - and was raised and trained with the expectation that she would one day be Alena's personal guard. Just weeks after she reached adulthood, and was given the magically-imbued tattooed sigil of the order, the family's history caught up to them, and their isolated fortress was destroyed. The family was slain, the surviving order members scattered in failure, and Hrain was left with only the knowledge that Alena's body was never recovered. Hrain searched for any evidence of her survival for years, before all trails ran cold. Hrain wanders now, largely purposeless, looking for any possible way to use her talents or to find answers.
Magic item to start with: Masquerade Tattoo
Campaign preference: I'd lean towards homebrew for the character exploration and new experiences, but ultimately I'm happy with whatever works best for the group!
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
I would love to take the 2024 rules out for a test drive.
Name: Leiros [Androgyne, They/Them] Specoes: Aasimar Class: Bard, College of Dance Background: Sage Ability scores: 15141514107
Backstory
Leiros' appearance is human, but their luminous eyes and ethereal grace hint at divine origins. Clad in simple robes, Leiros is a wandering poet-philosopher. A foundling raised in a secluded monastery, Leiros studied philosophy and honed their art of dance as a form of spiritual self-expression. One night, a vivid dream convinced them to leave the safety of the monastery. In this vision, they saw a world teetering on the edge of darkness, where only those with the power to inspire and heal could restore balance. Awakened by this call, Leiros set out as a wandering bard, their steps now guided by divine purpose.

Campaign preference?
I am indifferent, and would be happy to join either a homebrew tale or a published adventure.
Danon grew up in Luskan, he was a disappointment to his father Elbor, having none of the proclivity toward magic, study of runes and ancient tomes that was encouraged in his family. He loved the smell of ancient tomes, but that was about it. He did have a knack for climbing, contorting his body in all sorts of positions. (“Useless!” his father used to say). Once he had used his talents to gain access into a store by scaling a wall, climbing to a roof and letting some “friends” in as a prank. Later he learned that a number of jewels were lifted from that store with his prank. He was turned out of his house in dishonor after this became known.
Along his strange path he found his way to a Monastery in Luskan, where he was taught to focus his skills, hone his body and meditate. He learned first how to make his body resistant to cold, how to hold his hand so long in ice that it did not even hurt when he would punch through a thick board. He was taught how to walk on hot coals and distract his mind to avoid the pain. Each element that he was faced with he learned to master, to subjugate to his will. And he learned that he was actually good at it! His master gave him a fine set of clothing upon his departure 12 years later, saying “Use this well. You have strength of body, strength of mind, but you are not wise in the words that tumble out of our mouth, the manner that you dress or speak. This will affect you someday. Maybe, I can help a little. Seek your path, your skill and mastery of your body is ready.” Danon looked to leave Luskan behind and seek his path in life.
Adventure : I would be into Icewind Dale, Tomb of Annihilation or Waterdeep / Dungeon of the Mad Mage. Open to home-brew as well.
Yes, and thank you. I've been looking for a 2024 campaign to try.

Stats using the above rolled stats
Zen grew up in a small halfling wine making village set in the low hill country. There they grow a special grape, said to be personally blessed by Yondalla herself. As a member of the hunters Corp and voluntary militia member he's had the honor of escorting caravans of wine and trade goods to the outlying towns. He particularly enjoys it when the priest and monks of the local temple transport their once a year specialty wine, Yondalla's Tears. The pay is good but the free samples really make the trip.
While visiting these other towns Zen always keeps and ear out for local gossip concern weather, monsters, raids and attacks. And, calls for adventures. He dreams of one day answering one of those calls and seeing what the world holds for him outside the shire.
Magic item - Boots or False Tracks
I'm open to either prepared adventure or homebrew. I'd love to play something in the Dale Lands, nothing wrong with the Sword Coast but them Dales...ah, home.
Name: Brif Species: Human Background: Wayfarer Class: Ranger (Gloomstalker) Magic item: Charlatan’s Die Campaign preference: Would love Curse of Strath; Always happy to homebrew Backstory: Brif grew up on the streets of a big city (whatever fits the setting). In order to earn money he played dice game with passer's by, which he earned some enough with to keep himself from starving. After some time he saved enough to buy a charlatan's die which made sure he could earn even better with his games. Unfortunately, he was caught by a player, who had suspected him. The player took him home and Brif was afraid, but luckily this woman wasn't so bad and wasn't planning to make Brif's life harder. She wanted to help him, get him of the street, show him he could live without ripping of people. Her name was Niaris and she was a druid. She shows Brif the ways of nature, but Brif's life on the streets had already thaught him other things aswell, and it quickly became clear that yes he was able to use some of the powers of nature, but his way with the bow was better thanks to his agility, which he refined on the streets. He stayed with her for quiet some time and did jobs for her and other druids in her circle to refine his skills. He quickly found that his life on the streets didn't only help with his agility, but also with Living in the nights and darks. His eyes were accustomed to him better than most, but most of all, he was able to hide in the smallest pieces of shadow. Now he learned his ways Niaris thaught it was best for him to be on himself for some time and show the world what he has to offer. The charlatan's die is still there in his pocket, but he doesn't use it to rip of the common folks anymore.
