Hello everybody! I would like to run a campaign on a Google Document. We'll be playing Tomb of Annihilation, and starting off at 5th level. To join, just give me a brief description of your character, your experience with D&D, and your experience with Google Documents. I've run this kind of campaign before with my friends, and it turned out great! I hope I'll have some interest!
This sounds interesting. I would want to play as an artificer. He would be a Gnome and focused on tinkering. For combat he would use a shoulder mounted eldritch cannon from the artillerist subpath.
Personality wise I imagine him being inquisitive. Maybe a bit naive in what is appropriate to ask people. Always trying to get information he can catalog. Kinda like Mordin from mass effect.
Here is a rough draft from the previous campaign that I would rework for this one
Aldric is a human cleric devoted to Helm, The Watcher. He spends his days healing and protecting all he can trying to be a good example for his faith.
Race: Human(Variant)
Class: Cleric(Life)
Background: Acolyte
I don’t have a lot of d&d experience merely some play on play by post from the past year or so and I have used google doc before but am certainly not an expert.
I have a character who I played through LMoP with and I'd like to continue his story. He's one of the Redbrand bandits from Phandelver who got beat up by a woman in front of his drinking buddies and taken prisoner. He was given a choice of turning his life around or ending it and he chose the former. His name is Rawley and he's a former soldier disgracefully discharged from the army, turned mercenary and a drunkard. He used his second chance to join the group that beat him up in the first place and worked really hard on redeeming himself.
My experience with D&D is fairly wide, been playing a lot by post, DMing a few games over the years in real life, etc. I also believe I understand some of what can be achieved with Google Docs, have been using it for MANY years now.
I’d like to play, but I’ve never used google docs to play before. I generally am on mobile, so I don’t know how easy it is that way. I’ve played pbp for several years, I really enjoy it. All my experience is with 5e. I started DMing six months ago, and that’s a whole other enjoyment.
i Think I would like to play an eldritch Knight? Human variant. Knight background.
I was thinking he’d be in service to a noble family that is pushing for a more active nobility in affairs dealing with monsters and such. He’s part of an effort to seek out, and address these problems in a very public fashion. ——-
I have another idea for a standard human Death Cleric? I figured it’s tomb of annihilation, he could have a religious interest in the events, and not be opposed to allying with standard good types. Make him an outlander, something sort of tribal and barbaric, from far away from the cities and civilization.
Definitely interested! Never really played play-by-post before, but I've DM'd a bunch of LMoP games.
I'd like to play Kriss Gold, a half-elf hexblade warlock with a troubled past....his father sold his family to a demon, who killed his mother and raised him as his son.
Never played with google documents as mentioned, but definitely excited to give it a shot!
Hello, I'd love to play. I've been playing D&D 5e for two years and TTRPGs for longer than that. As for Google Documents - I use it for everything, but mostly for school work and short stories. It's my go-to word processor and I've also used powerpoint for presentations.

I'll give it a try. Not sure about the format, but it be sounds fun.
I have a bunch of characters I'd like to play, but I guess for ToA I'll drop in a wizard.
(All character related information is subject to change pending discussion with DM upon the event I am accepted.)
After discussion with GM I am going a completely different direction.

Any additional starting equipment? Or if we are spellbook casters then additional spells known?
