You were all on an airship journey across the Bright Desert, about halfway through there was an accident and the ship caught fire and crashed to the ground. The 6 of you are the only ones who survived the crash. You were searching around, lost and thirsty when you came across a very large sand dune. After skirting around it you see from the other side that it is actually a lone temple half buried in the sand. It's the only thing besides sand you've see for miles around. There is a large entryway located in the middle of the uncovered side of the temple.
Barry will remove his Maul from his back and approach the entrance before turning to the group "I'm gonna see if anybody is home." then he will proceed to bang his maul on the side of the entrance and yell "CAN WE COME IN IT'S TOO HOT OUT HERE"

Barry Walks down a short stone corridor to the 20 foot high oaken doors with large iron ring pulls and bangs his maul hard on the doors. This shakes the doors and also the stone archway above the doors causing them to collapse. Barry dives back out on to the sand as the large stones of the corridor fall down and barricade the door closed.
A few rocks still hit him as he dives to the ground and Barry still takes half of 24 damage.
Barry will stand up and dust himself off "I don't think they want us to come in, we should find somewhere else to rest. If we were at my house I'd let you guys in... I'd even give you guys a sample of our delicious ale, the recipe is a Turnip family secret."
Bruised and battered by the crash, Dell takes a moment to gather himself and is brought back to his senses by a loud crashing noise.
He hobbles carefully closer to the debris, coughing with the rising dust.
"Er... looks like it's a case of Either Dig Or Swim... Not sure I like the name of that particular sandbox game", he says with a dejected look on his face, then breaks into a slow grin as he sees the burly man sprawled in the dirt next to the collapsed entrance: " Luckily, we have someone here with a strong back that can help out clear all this mess. On you go, then!"
Note to DM: not sure about the starting gear, what types of weapons and/or equipment are we allowed ? Any gold ? magical items etc ?

It takes you 2 hours in the hot sun to clear the debris away from the door. You're hot and tired and ready for some shade. You grab the iron rings and pull open the doors to reveal a solid stone wall behind the door, this is a false entrance.
Barry will begin to check over the contents of his backpack making sure nothing is out of place "Are you sure we can to go in there? Don't we need permission?"
When Barry notices Anders clearing the rubble a big smile will creep across his face and he will excitedly jump in and lend a hand while talking to Anders and shamelessly advertising his Turnip family beer.

Dell can't supress a slightly desperate cackle as they uncover the fake door. "That figures", he sighs to himself as he starts looking around the area for any signs of another, hidden passage.
He takes a moment to glance over his shoulder and warn his comrades:"If I were you good folks, I would try and take a step back... whoever took the trouble to build this wall has also probably thought of other goodies. Goodies with swinging pendulums full of spikes, if you get my drift...!"
With that said, he gets back to is search.
Perception check to look for hidden passages, traps and whatnot.

Barry will takes off his boonie hat, scratch his head, sigh and announce "This shouldn't be here... In my house we don't put any walls behind doors, that's just dumb." then he put his hat back on and take a few swings at the wall with his Maul.

After seeing that the door leads to nowhere Grexx will quietly look around the sand dune searching for lizards, birds, or any other type of desert animal.
Dell while searching along the wall you find a low crawlspace mostly covered by sand that has piled up near it. It doesn't look like it would take long to clear enough for someone to squeeze through.
Velkyn is a tall elf, standing proudly at 6'7". He is charcoal skinned, with ashen hair, often mistaken for a drow, but has vibrant purple eyes. He wears black leathers adorned with purple runic symbols etched all across the leathers. He wears a black stained steel ring with a small purple signet on his right hand.
Finally making his way from the ship to the rest of the surviving group."So, any luck finding a way in yet?" His bow, already drawn with an arrow loosely notched.
Barry spends a while wailing on this stone wall. He makes a few small cracks and some tiny pieces come off but it doesn't look like he's making much of a dent, his maul will mostly like break before the wall does.
