In the place between life and death, souls of the lost find themselves stolen to a strange realm of forgotten memories that sing of old lives and where life and death become one in the same.
This adventure is already full with three players (as of this writing) and will take you from level 10 to around max level. The challenges before you are of intrigue and role play and tough combat that will test your abilities.
The game may slow down at times. We all have lives and jobs to tend to, but it should be quite fun.

A strong scent of burnt ashes and salt fill your senses. As your vision begins to come around, you notice you’re one of three individuals on a small boat at sea. There’s a thick fog all around you. The little boat, no bigger than a dinghy, is barely enough to hold the three of you. It seems to be moving of its own accord toward an island in the distance. You ache all over and feel as if you’ve got a nasty hangover. You can’t remember much other than your name. Who you are, what kind of person you are, your friends and family — all of it escapes you at the moment.
As the little boat makes its way toward the island, which is somehow getting closer and closer by the second, a dark and pleading voice calls out. It seems to come from within your own skull.
“We’ve been trapped for too long...Trapped inside this machine. The ancient metropolis. It appears, it appears to control us”.
As the strange voice finishes, the dinghy softly pushes itself against the sands of the island.
Looming before you, beyond the small sandy beach you find yourselves on, is an impressive cliff-face that stretches as far as you can see into the fog on both the left and right. It seems to curve with the shape of the island. The beach itself is void of all life. There are some red rocks here and there and sand. A break in the cliff-face can be seen some 600 feet ahead of you. A path going further into the island, perhaps? The cliff seems to stretch up toward the sky, past the fog that's obscuring further vision, for quite some length.
DM: What do you all do? Remember that, for your character, it's hard to remember much about themselves except his or her name. If you want some backstory, I would rely on the trinket you were able to keep with you somehow and what it might mean to your character.

He may look like a man in his forties. He has salt and pepper hair, ear-long straight hair. A long grey beard gives him a dignified look if it was not for wreckage situation
He is quite strongly built.
He has deep green inquisitive eyes.
IN GAME:
Odysseus arrives at the beach almost dumb, and only after he vomited the salty water, he looks around to look at the scenery and then at the others.
WIthout even ask for the others' names nor presenting himself, he asks (almost pleading):
"Where are we? Tell me please somebody knows how we ended up here"
ooc: @ DM: since we don't remember anything, do we have a religion memory or will? I mean, my paladin would like or feel like praying?
You see before you a female half-elf in her late twenties. She is built in a very lithe way (seemingly more prepared to run than fight). She had medium length black hair and piercing ice blue eyes.
IN GAME:
Mor steps out into the shores of the island gingerly, looking around to take in the situation. She offers no reply to the question asked, but quickly backs toward the cliff while just looking at the two people with her with confusion in her eyes.
DM: @Odysseus — You would feel the need to pray. How successful it would be at this moment is up for grabs...perhaps shortly you may find a way to commune with your god more efficiently. You have vague and strange memories of your deity, but those memories — when you think about praying — are overrun by visions of a strange human-looking Godly face that “blocks” your deity from reaching you Perhaps there’s help reaching your deity further within the island... You do not feel hungry. In fact, you feel...empty. @ALL — you all feel kind of empty. You’re neither hungry nor thirsty, strangely.
In Game: The beach seems void of life. The only living things seems to be the three of you. The only way forward seems the opening in the cliff-face ahead. Nothing of note sticks out to you on this beach.
Above you, beyond the fog, there seems to be a silent lightening storm going on. Typically, there would be the sounds of thunder and the physical manifestation of rain. However, this isn’t the case. A purple and blue streaked sky, from what you can see vaguely through the fog, seems to silently paint streaks of lightening across the sky. A soundless storm is an strange one, indeed.

I don't have a name, my tribe member call me 'carnal' for all the deeds I have done, but now that I'm outside you may call me Lulu instead
He's a Firbolg with a brownish pink skin and a luscious golden mane. His ear and face always seem so relax like nothing goes through his life except happiness. A short golden beard can be seen all over his chin covering his whole underside, although all this wreckage situation he sill looks quite stunning with that smile and slight panic in his eyes as his long luscious hair was untied and the hair starts to wave against the wind. You can see that he used to be quite the player and what might seem to be a noble aura around him.
He has a huge build standing 8 ft tall.
He has sky blue colored eye.
IN GAME:
Lulu comes awake laughing in despair as he sees around him. As he slowly steps the boat, he answers the human that seems quite desperate.
"*giggles* who knows, all I remember is my name, who I was, my family and friends... "
as he tries to continue he hols his head trying hard to remember but to no avail silence fills his mouth for sometime
".. ugh, let's not think of this matter anymore... what we need now is to survive until they save us. Considering the thought that we are the only survivor to what might seem like titanic 2... ,btw Haven't catch your names, who are you guys" As he tries to scavenge anything to make something to eat/drink/warm/arms himself.
@dm what do I see around me, what time is it?
P.S. you guys want to start using discord instead? I'm fine if it's a no too ^^
I just think the campaign would run much faster and maybe without no one trying to metagame :)
the human replies at the sight of the strange tall creature called Lulu.
He really fells the urge to connect with some higher being: for he is scarried, for he needs comfort and mostly because he needs to know.
Then a realization appears, while he wonders aloud:
"Survive, you say?! Lulu. What if we are not survivors of this shipwreck? I strangely do not feel hungry or thirsty, even after all this salty water...
I don't remember anything apart from my name...what if...what if this is some beyond...some afterlife?!
I just know that arriving here I heard a voice: it was comeing from...from inside my head: talking about a machine and an ancient city..."
If that's the case, the human reflects: they are nothing but souls wandering to find their doom.
WIth this sense of fatalism, he adds:
"There is nowhere to go apart from that opening within the fog. I guess we must venture there...and since, for some reason I want to understand, we are in this situation together, let's stick together...It is also safer"
He searches a piece of wood along the beach (or directly takes it by force from the destryoed ship) and, SAying so, he moves towards the fog (only if also the others agree to join him).
@DM: may I sign something like a club in my equipment?
DM: Discord doesn’t work for me. I’m too busy and living in Germany, so the times wouldn’t line up anyway.
Around you, you see a beach void of any real life. There are small red rocks here and there and the dinghy you all arrived on. There’s a thick fog around you, keeping you from seeing too far in any one direction. It seems to be...night time?...from what you can tell. There’s a violent and silent lightening storm overhead in the sky. Purple and orange streaks flash from time to time, visible through the fog.
You don’t fee hungry or thirsty for some reason. The instinct to look for food overwhelms you, but as you begin a fruitless search, you realize this. Your body doesn’t desire these things. Strange....
The only real way forward, as it would seem, is through the fog and through the path (the cutaway through the cliff) ahead of you that goes further into the island.
GM with over 20 years of experience. I have a lot of great ideas. Some of them follow through. Others don't. Please don't take offense if I disappear suddenly. I have a life, too. Sometimes I get distra...
Mor takes a step forward slowly realizing the severity of the situation.
”My name is Mor and it seems fate has drawn us together for some reason. I guess the only way is forward.”
She steps up besides Odysseus and slowly makes her way closer to the cutaway in the cliff, looking around at her companions for objections as she does so.
"Fate might have met us together, but if what Odysseus is saying is correct, then all the more reason for us to find out and steel ourselves. For danger might be lurking around us, for now...."
Seeing Odysseus arms himself, he also grabs a wood and some small red rocks from the wreckage and casts 'light' on one of it.
"Okay, this should help us with this fog. You! Mor is it ? are you coming?" Lulu reaches his hand out, signaling them to come while asking with a smile like an adventurer awaiting the adventure that he might encounter.
Lulu walks up a lil bit ahead of everyone whilst still waiting for everyone to follow him.
Mor flinches away from the sudden light but begins to walk forward with a nod after Lulu, looking along the beach for anything interesting while she goes.
"Magic my boy magic, my mother teached it to me when I was litte, but my step mother... Well it's not relevent let's get going shall we. Those purple and orange flashes in the sky doesn't seem so welcoming"
Lulu steps forward with odysseus and mor into the cutaway through the cliff
Lulu, the only thing you can really remember is the vague memories of your mother and step mother. Perhaps, upon searching your memories, you begin to realize they’re missing huge gaps.
The Group: As you make your way cautiously through the cut through the cliff, the fog begins to lift some. Dark obsidian colored rock feels like it seems to close in on you from either side as the path goes on. The strange silent lightening storm in the sky rages on as you make your way through the path.
Inside of the cliff face as you pass through the path, those perceptive of you notice face-like indents and protrusions in the cliff itself. Hauntingly accurate to various races (orcs, elves, and the like). Some even seem to move ever so slightly.
The end of the path is up ahead, just a few paces.
