Tempest is the daughter of a well-to-do family from Waterdeep. her twin brother Ethan helps her family run their merchant business, while Tempest went to study at Blackstaff Tower. She ended up getting involved with a group of adventurers that led her to be in this situation, captive of the Drow. She has flaming red hair, a temper to match, but a fierce loyalty to those she has befriended.

Race: Half Elf (Drow) Class: Rogue Background: Urchin BRIEF backstory: Daerthe was born the child of a female human slave and an unknown drow father in the Underdark city of Menzoberranzan. With work from her mother who knew a bit of magic that she kept hidden from the drow she managed to keep her daughter a secret but did not raise her. Instead Daerthe was raised by a group of drow commoner children that lived in the slums, using her to take the punishment if they were caught stealing from the others who lived in the slums. From this rough upbringing she learned to steal and sneak around. As she got older and impressed the young drow or as much as she could while being what they called Ibleth, she was able get in on a plan to break into a noble house. While at first the plan went well things changed when the nobles found them and they all ended up being captured or killed. After getting hit with a sleeping dart in the neck she woke up in chains.

He gathers his father's old armor and weaponry and dwells within the Underdark to shape his own stories. Unfortunately, he gets captured by the Evil Drow pretty soon but he doesn't lose his confidence as good stories need drama.
Gadveldt the Clanless Mountain Dwarf Barbarian Captive (Like an Urchin)
Gadveldt grew up a captive of goblins, made to work as a miner and smith, never knowing his family. He practiced in secret, and still considers mining tools his main weapons. His first rage was fighting the bliners as he was rescued by adventurers. Also an outcast of dwarf society, since he doesn't know his ancestry, he started adventuring meaning to rescue others. So it is completely ironic that the first day's voyage he's captured and sold to drow.
The tribe that Yroc grew up in has been met with many setbacks in recent generations. First, a large successful campaign drove it and neighboring tribes far away from society and decimated their numbers. Then, just as the following generations were beginning to build up again, their lands were encroached upon by a young Necromancer seeking a safe haven to set up his lair. A war broke out that brought the Kra'Toch, or Warrior Blood Hands, to their knees. It even came so far that other tribes set aside their differences to defeat this Necromancer lest he grow too strong in power, but for the Kra'Toch it was too late. The Necromancer fled, but only four tribesmen remained. Yroc and three other warriors. As they set off in pursuit of the Necromancer to exact their revenge, they got caught in a snowstorm. Yroc lost sight of his tribesmen, and has not seen or heard of them in the last four years. Only burning hatred for the Necromancer keeps him going forward, the latest rumor of his whereabouts leading Yroc down depths even he had not imagined himself descending to.
(I'm sorry. Brief backstories are not my forte...)
tl;dr: Yroc's tribe got destroyed by a Necromander four years ago, he's in pursuit ever since. Oh, and he's not evil, maybe important to mention since he's an Orc. No murderhobo here.

Roaming around southern Faerun, Manju stumbled upon a travelling circus of sorts run by supporters of Milil (the god of music and entertainers). Spending sometime learning from the performers and honing his skills sated his lust for fame but eventually he decided to leave in search for something bigger.

BRIEF backstory: Danton was a young academic, studying as an alchemist and scribe at Candlekeep. He would often relieve the tedium by imbibing alchemical brews based on recipes from old tomes. Danton and other bored acolytes found a local hermit who introduced them to various mind altering drugs created from local plants, herbs and animal remnants. After a particularly wonderful hallucinogenic trip, Danton realized the pettiness of human civilization and knowledge, the tedium of toiling away at rewriting the words and alchemical formulas of others, and became enraptured by the beauty of the natural world. Danton left Candlekeep, to live a live of peace and love, in harmony with the natural world, and fell in with the clergy of Mielikki, where he could worship the nature goddess, and live a life free from the shackles of civilization and its cumbersome rules.
