This will be the second campaign I run on this platform. I like to write my own campaigns, that's where I get most of the fun out of DMing D&D to be honest.
This is a campaign set during/after an apocalyptic event and you are trying to right what is wrong with the world currently.
I look forward to hopefully have this campaign run a good while, as when I ran it IRL I thought it was pretty fun!
Anyways here's what you should know:
3-5 Players.
I am located in USA North East. Not that it matters where you are geographically located but i figured id throw it out there so applicants can know my local time.
All players should be able to post at least 1-2 times per day. (Life happens i get it, there will be days where I won't be able to get to it either as I work 9-5 and can get bust at home as well, but best effort please!)
I try to stay as close as possible to the D&D world and lore but dont hate me for taking some liberties. That being said:
D&D pantheon of gods are all valid
Only published material should be used. (No UA classes/races)
Don't care about alignment.. all I will say is, lets keep this fun for everyone.
You may roll your stats or standard array. If rolling, you may re-roll 1s once.
You will be starting at Level 3 with standard equipment & gold.
I willset up a discord for OOC chat.
I am very open to suggestions as to how to run things smoother, so dont be afraid to throw your suggestions at me.
Use application below and DM me plz.

Backstory: (You will be starting in a tavern called Strum Tavern in a city called Venestrum - Venestrum is a prosperous port city with King Mjorn as its ruler. Times are tense with people fleeing as they can tell the end is coming.)
Synopsis:
600 Years ago - The world knew nothing but peace, food was plenty, weather was predictable and life was fulfilling and satisfying. When on a clear cloudless night sky, a star could be seen falling down to our world. It landed with a tremendous force into our oceans, causing giant waves to wash over the land. Many perished, but the true nightmare would begin when the waters began to recede. A particular evil was unleashed on the world. Where only good existed, now evil began to push its way to the forefront.
For 600 years the constant ebb & flow of good and evil was balanced... until now.. the Balance has shifted, evil begins to overrun the forces of good. If left unchecked, all the realms stand to suffer. Everyone can feel that something big is coming, they dont know how or why they can feel it, only that they are worried that this may truly be the end of days as we know it. Who among you are brave enough to venture into the depths of evil to root it out.
Delon grew up in the western High Forest. From a very young age, he felt drawn to the woods around his home. Khelvahn Theroris recognised this is the signs of a budding young druid and encouraged him to foster this love for the wild. At the same time, Khelvahn took Delon under his wing to teach them about the ways of Angharradh.
Decades passed as Delon served as an acolyte learning from his teacher as much as he could about the Queen of Arvandor. Although he grew to know the rituals and practices of Angharradh, Delon marvelled at the ability of the goddess to manipulate the world around him. He truly felt blessed as Angharradh aided him in his training and exploration of the woods around him. As he grew in confidence and ability, he began to range further from home, meeting people that he had only heard of from stories as people passed through the area.
At the age of 100, Delon went through his naming ritual, going out to seek his true purpose and the path his future would take. His love of foreign people and cultures took him far from home, eventually finding himself in a ruined cities of the ancient kingdoms, long since fallen. Surely the goddess had led him here to learn of his past, and lead him to his future. For many days he explored the ruins of the city, uncovering trivial pieces of history, and creating an image of the people who had lived here. It was while he was searching among the ruins that he stumbled across a tomb, overgrown with vines, far from the light. The draconic symbols on the monument indicated something of interest. Delon knew enough of the language to recognise a few words. “Eternal Rest”. “End the pain.” “The goddess.” Delon could not resist. He spent the day clearing away debris rocks and vines, revealing more of the words, the symbols, the images that covered the stone slab. Surely this is what the goddess had drawn him to; this was his purpose.
The lights faded in the sky, and Delon knew that he would have to wait until morning to proceed any further. He slept within sight of the tomb, fearing for some reason to leave its presence. That night was the night he truly earned his name. Delon, the dark one, he who the shadows fear. As he slept, a mist crept out of the tomb, carrying with it with shades of the past. These were the demons of Ascalhorn. The symbols on the tomb did not indicate protection for the person inside, but rather protection for those without.
The draconic text used to create the ward on the tomb had faded overtime as weather and roots cracked and scared the surface. The warding spell wore away, leaving the world vulnerable once again to the evil intentions within. Delon was visited by the image of the demon lord, looming over him and whisper the death of all he loved. The vision of the demon was enough to shatter his soul. The shards of which scattered buried deep within him. When the visage finally released him, Delon woke to find a staff with the three interlocking circles on its head. The symbol of the goddess brought a sense of hope back to the darkest moment of his life. She had not left him but brought him out from the clutches of the demon lord.
Every night as he meditates, the image returns. The promises seep like wisps through his mind, both waking and sleeping. Every morning when he wakes, Delon reaches for the staff and prays to the goddess — calling on her to guide his steps. He then wrote down everything he remembered from his dream, hoping for some clue as to how to rid his self of this curse. As he looks back through his journal, he sees the same words repeated, reinforcing the visions of the endless night.
Since that night, his steps led him to seek out and remove any influence of Asmodeus that he could. Delon would never stray close to the demon lord except to strum a blow. And those he struck down he would never allow to go unguided into the afterlife. Burying them himself and taking them on that journey, or at least leaving the means for others to do so.
When Delon finally returned to his people, he was a different man. His family sensed it, his neighbours saw it in his eyes. No one said a word. No one asked him what he had experienced, but everyone knew something was wrong. For several years he tried to live life as usual, but no matter what others said, he felt the distance growing between them. He never knew if the continued support was out of sympathy or fear, but soon he knew that he could take it no more. It was time to leave and find somewhere he could fit in, or at least stay out of sight, while he sought to rid himself of his visions.

Backstory: I grew up in a strange family dynamic: while my mother is a righteous paladin, my father is the head of a rogue's guild. Opposites attract, I suppose, as I exist. Duties often called them apart from each other, so I spent time in the noble courts and battlefields my mother attended, as well as the dark alleyways and streets, where my father taught me how to fight, and spy. While working with the rogue's guild, I would often give any obtained treasure to poorer locals in the town, unintentionally making a name for myself. The pressures of expectations from both my parents pushed me to venture on my own, in order to determine who I wanted to be. I find adventure fascinating, but no more so than the people I meet. I love hearing people's stories...the problem being I'm incredibly anxious, especially in social situations. My travels have brought me to the city of Venestrum, where I've found lodging in Strum Tavern.
Sounds like a good time! please consider. I'm also on EST so timing is not an issue. 1-2 posts daily is totally fine with me.

Resented by Han for what he's done to him, Djorg leaves town in search for proper arcane training to control his powers. He want to make amends with Hans and is searching for a way how.
Backstory: Born the son of bard and advisor to King Mjorn's father, Valerion had access to the finest of upbringings in and around the court. He was poised to take over for his retiring father, but the king died. In the shifting of alliances and power that occured, Valerion and his father were out of favor and their position at court was no longer needed. Determined to make his way in the world on his own, Valerion set off to make it on his own, finding work as a bard where he could. He finds himself a little down on his luck when he comes to the Strum Tavern hoping to get some work.
Backstory: Dolgrum grew up under within the Solemnbrew clan. A clan known in the area for it's production ale. Not just your standard drinking swill but special casks used within funeral rites and toasting of the dead. As such, Dolgrum has learned of their long history and partook the ancient rites to connect him and those dating back through his line. Now, being old enough to help with the family business. He strikes out into the world, assisting with deliveries, tasting competitor brands from across the land, seeking new flavors and spreading the name of Solemnbrew.
Character Name: Marius Dragonsoul Race: Human Class: Barbarian (Path of the Zealot) Background: Acolyte Backstory: All Marius knew until a few years ago was the Solace of Lendys monastery. Dedicated to the worship and study of the platinum dragon, those who lived within Sol largely ignored the outside world and instead attempted to bring order to their own lives through study and training. The priests have always told Marius he hatched from a dragon egg left on the steps of Sol. While he does not believe this particular tale, he has always felt some pride when they say he has the heart of a dragon. For over five decades, Marius did not leave Sol. Five years ago, however, he was encouraged to leave the safety of the monastery. "Some new danger is on the horizon," he was told. So Marius left Sol and has been traveling, working, and watching. Something — Marius believes it is Lendys himself — has recently drawn him to Venestrum, even as many of the city's residents flee.
Backstory: Ravetha is a young (for an elf) and recent addition to her home's guard. The village in the trees, (was thinking of naming it Elnofar, but up to DM) was a thing of beauty and joy. However, the balance of good and evil has tipped for the worse. Only three months into her role and their biggest threat came, a wave of dark monsters, bringing fire and ruin, destroyed the entirety of the forest. With what refugees there were left, she made for the coast. There would surely be folk who would harbour them until they could regroup and return to reclaim their lost homeland. However, that day has yet to return. With no news of her family, or that of the elders of her home, she is now a free agent, attempting to collect coin and allies to hopefully fight back against the forces of evil. Her preferred fighting style is that of the Spiralling Winds, a mixture of slices and grace that uses twin scimitars to face their foes. She has adopted the noble fighting style in order to continue the legacy of her home and to also hone her skills for the upcoming battle ahead.
