"In the realm of Haven's Reach, a convergence of worlds has brought about unprecedented upheaval. Portals have opened, connecting our realm to distant dimensions and unleashing a wave of mystical energy. As the city trembles on the precipice of uncertainty, the council has called upon a group of exceptional individuals to safeguard the delicate balance of our world.
Some among them, native to the world in which Haven's Reach resides, possess an innate understanding of this realm's customs, lore, and the intricate web of politics. Born and raised in various corners of our world, their knowledge and connections to its inhabitants will prove invaluable as they navigate the complexities of the convergence.
Others among their ranks hail from realms far beyond our own, bringing with them foreign knowledge, unique perspectives, and strange powers. These individuals offer fresh insights into the realms beyond, lending their expertise in deciphering the secrets and understanding the profound impact of the convergence.
However, they are not the only ones who have emerged through the portals. Beings from far-flung realms, with forms both familiar and alien, now roam the lands. Some are driven by curiosity, seeking to explore and understand, while others harbor darker intentions, their motives shrouded in secrecy.
As our adventurers venture forth, they must navigate treacherous landscapes, encounter inhabitants from realms beyond, and uncover the truth behind the convergence. The fate of Haven's Reach and the delicate equilibrium of our world rest in their hands.
Will they untangle the mysteries of the convergence and restore harmony, or will the realms remain forever entwined in chaos? The answers await those who dare to venture forth into the unknown."

Backstory: Elara Stoneheart was born into a prestigious noble family known for their connection to the earth and their prowess in elemental magic. As an Earth Genasi, her affinity for the elemental forces was magnified, setting her apart from her human relatives. From a young age, Elara displayed a remarkable ability to shape and control the earth, and her family saw in her the potential to become a powerful asset for their aristocratic ambitions. However, Elara's life took an unexpected turn when she fell in love with Alaric Blackthorn, the heir of a rival noble family. The Stonehearts and the Blackthorns had been embroiled in a generations-long feud, brimming with animosity and bitterness. Despite Elara's family's disapproval, her heart could not resist the magnetic pull she felt towards Alaric. Facing pressure from her family and the potential consequences of their forbidden love, Elara sought refuge and guidance in solitude. Out in the wilderness, at the peak of her desperation, she stumbled upon an ancient, abandoned sanctuary dedicated to a long-forgotten earth deity. In the heart of the sanctuary, Elara discovered a hidden chamber where a powerful earth genie named Terek had been imprisoned for centuries. The genie, weakened and confined, offered her freedom and assistance in exchange for her help in finding and eliminating those responsible for his imprisonment. Elara, yearning for her own freedom and the ability to protect the love she shared with Alaric, agreed to Terek's terms. With a touch of her hand, she shattered the chains binding the genie, setting him free, and forging a deep connection between them. The terms of the pact were clear: Terek would grant Elara access to his power, empowering her with warlock abilities. In return, Elara would aid Terek in seeking retribution against those who had wronged him. She was to unravel the ancient conspiracy that had led to his imprisonment, and bring the culprits to justice. Now linked to the ancient genie, Elara found herself able to harness Terek's knowledge and power. Her own powers grew exponentially, and she gained the ability to communicate telepathically with the genie. This connection expanded her understanding of elemental magic, allowing her to manipulate earth and stone with unprecedented finesse. Refusing to succumb to her family's machinations, Elara became determined to protect both her love for Alaric and the secret that could spell her family's ruin; she embraced the responsibilities bestowed upon her by Terek, using her newfound powers to thwart her family's oppressive influence and bring about justice. Unbeknownst to Elara, Terek seemed genuinely fascinated by her bravery and deep love for Alaric. He saw in her the potential to restore balance not only to his own existence but to the world at large. Their partnership was a mutual exchange of power, knowledge, and shared goals. Though their relationship continued to evolve, Elara knew she had an ally in her fight for freedom and justice—a powerful genie who saw her not merely as a pawn but as a capable force who could reshape their intertwined destinies

Belonging to a clan predominately made up of coal miners, Sorn was always different. From an early age, he had a thirst for arcane knowledge, the more obscure the better. Dwarf strongholds are not exactly vast repositories of arcane magic, so Sorn disappeared from Sundabar just after his sixtieth birthday. He travelled to Luskan and studied with the Arcane Brotherhood, one of the only Dwarves ever to do so. He went on to read in the libraries of Waterdeep and Baldur's Gate. His favorite, however, was the vast collection of knowledge housed in Candlekeep. He spent a full eleven years there; poring over tomes of ancient lore. Making a living translating texts from Dwarven into Common, he secretly practiced his art. Through his travels, Sorn has managed to gather a few spells into his spell book. Most of his magic is defensive or informative in nature, but he will hurl a Fire Bolt if the situation warrants it. After many years, he mastered the Draconic language. This has allowed him to delve into a great number of previously inaccessible texts. Above all, he is interested in uncovering lost secrets. Hoping to compile an exhaustive history of his people, Sorn is always on the look-out for details of Dwarven history that may have been lost over the millennia. He also has in interest in collecting artifacts or relics of the past.

She was always experiencing déjà vu and her dreams would relate to something would later witness. With no true way to control or understand it she put it down to coincidence for a long time.
Raised was raised in her family's keep and destined to be a noble lady, although her heart was never in it. Always in trouble for skipping lessons she would sneak off and watch the town guard train. Her father would always find her and seeing a warriors spirit in her arranged dancing lessons, a ruse so she could be taught how to wield a swird. She learned how to defend herself and after a few years was a accomplished swords woman her gifts of forsight allowing her to avoid blows that would fell most.
Against her mothers wishes she joined the towns guard and spent years protecting the keep, its lands and its borders safe.
But the north was only a small part if the world. With heavy hearts her parents agreed and ahe bid her home fairwell, vowing to ine day return as a person worthy of presiding over the keep and its people.

[Unsure whether or not editing the above message to include the backstory would flag it as manipulating the die, so that's the ability score spread it accepted]
So I have two potential character concepts, the first being the more out there one and the second the safer option.
Character Name: Esmeralda
Race: Drow (Vampire)
Class: (Undecided--Would like to wait till, if I am accepted, everyone else is settled first.)
Background: Haunted One
Backstory: Being low born in drow society, already harsh as it is, left Esmeralda with few advantages growing up and many enemies as she attempted to do as her people did and beg, borrow, and steal their way to the top of the social hierarchy.
But others were smarter, inherently more powerful due to either the advantages of their birth in the safety of a houses banner or their own innate skills that she struggled to pick up.
One day, while she lay cursing those around her, clutching her stomach and praying for a scrap of power from Lolth to no answer, something else answered in her stead. A voice that promised her strength of body, of mind, and in exchange it simply wanted to share her body. To have someone to whisper to, and, of course, enjoy the feast.
This was years ago, and for all intent and purposes she looks everyway your average drow. Her sudden sureness in battle the mark of someone that finally found their fire. And plenty of people go missing in the dark.
----
For the second character concept;
Character Name: Nexus
Race: Dragonborn (Crystal - Radiant)
Class: (Same as above; I'm pretty flexible on what class to play, and wanna help round out the party.)
Background: Sage
Backstory: Born of an elven father and a dragonborn mother, Nexus holds traits of both within her, and her parents, forest dwellers themselves with a dislike for the hustle and bustle of towns alongside the disapproval of their union lived in the deep forests.
Their way of life was simple growing up, with her father teaching her the way of the blade while her mother taught her how to harness the innate power that flowed in her veins, whether that be a spark of magic or simply the powerful breath weapon and telepathic abilities of the gem dragons.
But Nexus, as she grew and her parents amassed books and trinkets from travelers they helped that got lost in their forests yearned for adventure, to see the wider world and fight the monsters she read about and those she had yet to discover, and set out to do so with the blessing of her parents.
(I apologize the ideas are small and perhaps not the best written. Was at work typing this in my down time.)

Both characters have been approved. You can choose the one you like the most. Personally, I find the Dhampir Drow the most interesting, but it is up to you. Regarding class, I think we could use a rogue or maybe a healer, but it is up to you. Please choose one of you two ideers, and then I will send you a private message. But you can wait to choose your class if you want to.

For the second character concept;
