Hi, I am a DM looking for a group willing to run a Wildemount campaign.
Information about me that you should know:
I have not watched Critical Role Season 2 or Season 1, so if you can't play with a DM who doesn't know everything about Critical Role, I am not the DM for you.
I am a seasoned DM, I have only ever played D&D 5e, and I started about 2.5 years ago, but I know how to DM and every rule needed to DM is stored in my brain.
I like critical thinking in players. If you just want to hack and slash, and do no roleplaying or puzzles or have no morality problems in games, I'm not the DM for you.
I own no content on D&D Beyond. I have every D&D 5e book physically, but I cannot share that content to you over D&D Beyond.
I like in depth character personalities and backstories. I will provide a link of an adequate D&D character information later.
Okay, now that we've covered that, here is the information about the campaign:
Generate your characters with rolled stats or Standard Array if you roll worse than Standard Array. Alternatively, you can choose point buy, not rolling at all.
No homebrew (except mine). Blood Hunters are allowed, but only the newest version (obviously).
No Unearthed Arcana. If you really want to play an Unearthed Arcana subclass, ask me, and I will allow it. There are certain new UA that I consider too overpowered or underpowered, so I will not allow those. Just ask me, and I'll say yes or no.
If you have an idea not supported by the rules as of yet, ask me about it, and if I approve it, I will homebrew it.
Artificers are allowed.
Warforged, Kalashtar, Yuan-Ti Purebloods, Volo's Orcs, Loxodons, Vedalken, and Dragonmarked House Races are not allowed. (If you want to play one, if you give me a good reason why you should be able to, I will likely allow you)
The Heroic Chronicle will be used to generate backstories and BACKGROUNDS. (message me if you want a background not on the list in the Heroic Chronicle tables) Xanathar's Guide to Everything can also be used in addition if you'd like.
Don't make your backstory or determine your character background before submitting your character idea to me on this thread.
We will play with between 4 and 6 characters.
Okay, that's all the information you should know. I hope to get some responses soon. The game won't start until I've selected the characters and they've compiled their complete backstories.

Please check out my homebrew, I would appreciate feedback:
I am very interested in this. I will roll up a character this evening. Do you have a preference about what you are looking for in particular, class and race-wise? Or would you like me to just make what is interesting to me?
Cheers!
Edit: Characters that I am interested in are a human warlock/bard storyteller who specializes in horror (at the urging of his patron), an aasimar storm sorcerer that leveraged her abilities to try to control the weather for her sailing crew, a support dragonborn gravitugist wizard, a alchemist gnome artificer from Hupperdook, and more that I'll edit into here.
I also have decent knowledge of CR, And am caught up on the show, but I'm just excited to explore the world and don't expect you to know the canon.
I've several character ideas I'd love to test out - a sorcerer (possibly divine soul) who focuses on buffs/debuffs only augmented by metamagic with basically no damage spells, a "combat healer" glamour bard who hands out temporary HP to prevent damage, a redemption paladin who uses Talk no Jutsu and when that fails acts as the tank, an eldritch knight who multiclasses cleric to straddle all three worlds. But I guess if you need someone to blow things up, I'm game for that too.
I have no knowledge of Wildemount at all. Hope that's alright.
Good Evening, I had the idea of playing a Furbolg Druid, possibly Circle of Dream. Kinda have an idea of how I want to play him and his personality. I want to strive for a Shaman or a Wiseman-of-the-party type.
I am one of the few ppl I know that do watch Critical Role and DON'T compare everything to it. So don't worry about that, please.
Very interested in this! Just finished the EGTW book (did not read the intro adventures in the book), would like to try an Echo Knight, also have yet to play a Wizard and the new spells have finally sparked my interest in that class. The heavy elements of interesting criminal organizations from the book also sparked some ideas, like a Revelry pirate (possibly a fighter/rogue combo). Even a Cobalt Soul monk! So many ideas!!!
Before I start going about making assumtions, and to ensure i'm reading what you're writing correctly, you would like us to come up with our race and class, and leave background/backstory until we have time to talk to you about it yes?
The current characters I have ideas for right now are a Halfling Inquisitive Rogue, a half elf Arcane Archer, and a Firbolg Shepard Druid. I have a couple other ideas, but I want to see what everyone elses ideas are before throwing them out there.
There are several characters I have in mind, so I too would like to see what others come up with. The top of my list are:
Gnome Evoker - She would be a bit impatient and has a bit of a temper. Gnome Artificer (battle smith) - I see him as a knight that rides his steel defender as a mount. Variant human cleric/blood hunter - a seeker of justice and follower of the Storm Lord.
I absolutely love the hero chronicler tool in the Wild Mount book.
Likely going to use the 8 to play as a slightly clumsy younger fellow, mid-20s or so
Second concept:
Name: Thorin Thoruun
Race: Mountain Dwarf
Class: Paladin
Thorin is an old dwarf and he acts like it. He's seen a lot of the world over his years and quite frankly he's done with it. His faith keeps telling him the world isn't done with him yet though so he keeps going on.
Yes, just to clarify, choose your Race and Class. We will roll for your Background while making your backstory, as in the Heroic Chronicle (and/or Xanathar's Guide to Everything tables).
Choose a character concept you find interesting, post your idea here with your rolled stats, but leave out your background.
I have no preference for race, class, or anything as of yet, as I haven't chosen a single player yet. I will be making sure we don't have a party of 5 sorcerers, or all casters, there will have to be a variation just for balance purposes, but for now, post a character idea that sounds interesting to you with Race, Class, Rolled Stats, and a general idea of how you'd roleplay them, and the direction you'd want to head with them. The direction that the characters are headed probably will change when we develop your character personality and backstory, just have a basic idea.

Please check out my homebrew, I would appreciate feedback:
I’d like to play a human v (Mobile) Barbarian (path of the totem warrior) swinging a lance, and who wants to be respected as a knight in the worst way when he’s been a giant with little else that sets him apart from anyone else. He’s hoping to be the leader he knows he can be.
I'll roll some stats to see what the numbers inspire Ability scores: 14910161118
Name: Hope
Race: Tiefling
Class: Wizard (Divination)
Without trying to fill out too much of the backstory element, I have the idea for Hope to be someone who seeks to better understand magic and how it affects the world at large. She believes magic is a tool with which to help people and not a means to power. With a proper understanding of magic, one could use it to prevent tragedies from occurring and bring hope for a better future.
Could possibly expand further but would like to see what the HC tables have to say first.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Ability scores: 1710861415
Alright, I have a couple ideas, if you want to pick from your favorite: My preference is the Human Bard/Warlock, but I'm fascinated with each of these possiblities. We can work out the personalities when we set the backgrounds.
Race/ Class : Human (variant) Warlock (later Warlock Bard) (Great Old One/ College of Lore)
General Idea: He is a storyteller bard type who tells horror stories at the urging of his patron (your choice!) in order to induce fear. He's basically Stephen King, but a slightly better showman. He works with illusions, telepathy, and fear.
Direction: I'm very interested in corruption and redemption stories, so I would like to see him fall and then be redeemed.
Character 2:
Race/ Class: Aasimar Storm Sorcerer
General Idea: She showed mild capabilities of controlling the wind and got conscripted into the Navy/Pirate gang (depending on where we go with setting)
Direction: She's finally allowed some degree of personal freedom, so she wants to explore and see what the world has to offer.
Character 3:
Race/Class: Dragonborn Wizard (Graviturgist)
General Idea: He was raised in Xhorhas, where he was able to learn how to use Dunamancy. I plan to have him be a bit of a support character, but nosy to the point of fault.
Direction: He's a military type who works to limit the capabilities of those who would abuse magic. I'd probably point him in the direction of tyrants and criminals who use magic for impure means.
Character 4 (Last one!)
Class/Race : Gnome Alchemist Artificer
General Idea: A scientist who is pursuing the ultimate concoctions, seeking ingredients to make the best potions and poisons.
Direction: Learning how to interact in a group. He will also be a puzzle solver and an explorer.
Let me know which you prefer, and we can build a background that we think is the most interesting!
Edit: Also, it is great whether or not you know anything about Wildemount or Critical Role, as I said in my OP I just recently was introduced to Wildemount, and still am getting acquainted with it.
