The wind howls as you breath in the freezing air, the heavy cold air filling your lungs, and sending chills down your spine. The sun hangs in sky above, casting its diminished light upon the world, creating thousands of little sparkles as the light bounces off the snow crystals. Ahead of you, about 500 feet ahead of you, you see the town of Sorav, with its walls of wood and packed ice bricks, nestled beside an ice choked river. You grin as this means warm food, and warm place to sleep. You see a large tower within the city from your vantage point, marked with different holy symbols and the like. You see the single gate into the town, you adjust your clothes, hoping to make yourself warm in the freezing cold. You see a few other strangers making their way to the Gate of Sorav. Ahead you see a number of guards inspecting the few people who enter the city via the gate. As you approach the town , one of the guards states firmly, "Halt there strangers, where do you hail from and what is your business here?"
You each have your own reasons for entering this town. But, what do you wish to do now?
Vicril pulls back the hood of his cloak, revealing the bowls of burning embers that are his eyes. His features are mostly human, but if someone was to look closely, they could notice the unnatural angularity of his face, the sharpness in his eyes and the slight point to his ears. They all betrayed his elven heritage.
He cracks half a smile and answers, "Greetings, guardsman. I am just a wandering scholar, simply looking for a place to stay and perhaps study. Perhaps even spend some time at the temple." It is only half true. He does wish to learn more about the city and this world so unknown to him, people so alien he isn't sure he understands them. His charm has helped him in the past to get out of situations and he hopes his luck will hold.
Rammen approaches the guard shaking the snow from his fur as he gets closer.
"Well met Sir, I am Rammenchi Frozen Mountain, but those I consider friend know me as Rammen. I'm afraid I hail from nowhere, and yet everywhere for I have no 'home' anymore. I have been scouting the region for threats when I came upon your town and thought the idea of a warm meal and a place to bed down for the night far preferable to sleeping out on the plains again."
Rammen bows deeply from the waist. He is dressed in simple travelers clothes, his only weapon is a sheathed short sword across his lower back.
Frandal saw the other travelers heading for the gate and the feline like humanoid catched his eye. He had never met a member of his race before. At least not at this short distance. So he let them went first to the gate and waited patiently for them to finish their bussines with the guards. He heard what Rammen said about scouting the region and decided that he will look for him and will try to learn something once they were inside the town.
[If everything goes smoothly with the previous travellers]
The elf approaches the guard leaving his hands away from his sword and the bow on his back.
"Greetings good man. I am Frandal Silvereyes, from the Silveryes Clan. I come from Elven Middle. I would like to search for sheltler in your fine town. Can you point me to a establishment where I could take a good supper and warm my hands with a good fire? "
The guards stare suspiciously at Vicril, saying "Well, the Mage's Guild is always interested in gaining more knowledge, you'd probably be happy there" as they let the High Elf pass.
The guard nods at Remmenchi, "Greetings to you as well Remmenchi, there is a tavern, The Lunar Queen, its quiet, nice, and the board and drink are fair price, and good to know that there are some Wardens out there, whether you're official or not."
As the guard lets the High Elf and Tabaxi pass, they point Frandal, with a mixed expression, in the direction of the tavern, The Lunar Queen. "Well, haven't seen so many high elves in these parts, goodness" As you enter the walls of Sorav, you quickly find the tavern. It sits near the center of town, near the massive tower that serves as the city's temple and holds the shrines to the Ancients.
Valen approached the gate, taking as many details as he could. Travel was nothing new, but destinations were always different. Under his thick cloak, metal rings slapped dully against a thick, quilted gambeson. A shield slung over his back bore the symbol of Miru, Godddess of Life and Healing.
"Hail, and blessings of the Loving Mother be with you. I am Valen, Blessed of Miru's Bastion. My order dispatched me to tend to your wounded, aid your sick, and bless soul and stone alike. I would seek shelter at the church I noticed from a distance so I can begin my work."

The guard smiled at the cleric, "May the Healer's blessing be upon you good soul!" The guard exclaims as Valen enters the city, the tower was in the center of the town, surrounded by a number of pillars and a metal door sets at the base of the tower.
"The Lunar Queen" nods Frandal " It seems delightful. Thank you gentelmen. Have a nice night." He salutes the guards and head for the inn that the guards had guided him.
Before entering the tavern the elf wait outside for a moment looking at the building and listening to the voices inside it. Once he enter it he pulled back his hood and looked for a free table as near as the fire as posiible. He waited for the bartender or a waitress to approach him.
"Good evening my dear host. It's a pleasure to be in your fine tavern, If you are so kind I would sit on that table over there " he says pointing to the table he had spotted " a jar of red wine would be adequeate while I wait for you to ready a room, for I hope that you have one avaible for a weary traveler."
Rhogash approaches the gate and meets the guard's eyes as he's stopped at the gate.
"Good day, guardsman. It is good to see there are people here to keep the riff-raff out. My journey has been long, and I have an even longer road ahead. Today, however, I was hoping I might find a warm bed and an even warmer meal. If you could direct me to the nearest inn and tavern, I would be most appreciative."
Rammen wanders the town a bit before finally setting his sights on The Lunar Queen. Upon entering the place he notices a spot nearest the fire and sits down there. The 'spot' he finds is barely big enough for a halfling child let alone a full grown Tabaxi, but he has a different concept of 'personal space' and squeezes in right next to a surprised Elf.
"Evening knight, good spot by the fire you've found! The names Rammen." Snow starts melting off his fur and he gives a little shake of his head.
Rammen motions to a server for some ale and food
"Red wine eh? never much liked the stuff myself. Don't see many high elves around here - I bet you've got quite the story!"
The elf can hear a faint rumble coming from Rammen and you realize he's purring.
[I scan the room looking to see if there is a bard or any other person who might be entertaining the crowds with tales and stories]
The guard smiles at the paladin, "A number of interesting individuals have come in asking the same thing, today, would you believe it? One of them even looked like a big cat! But regardless, what you're looking for is the inn called The Lunar Queen, near the center of town, impossible to miss, but it is a warm quiet tavern, just lettin' ya know. The owner isn't fond of having a boisterous bar. Well, sir, be on your way. Good Day."
Meanwhile, those at the bar are enjoying some fine wine and alcohol. It is a quiet and dimly lit tavern, with worn rugs on the floor to keep the stone from chilling the many bare feet of the customers. Many sip their alcohol quietly and murmur amongst themselves as a bard plays softly an epic on her mandolin. The bar is happy and energetic, but also warm and comforting.
The barkeep serves up a mug of wine to Frandal, "A silver for a mug, if you would." And gestures for you to take a table. The table is rather nice, if small and worn, and you can just barely spot faint gears that were once carefully carved into the wood. And the heat from the fireplace is intoxicating considering the freezing conditions of the Upper Rim, and your freezing forms warm up. After about ten minutes, a serving-girl taps Frandal on the shoulder, "Sir, your room has been prepared, and there's a basin of hot water waiting if you need it." and then asks Rammenchi "Do you need any drink or board sir?"
At the Temple, Valen greeted by a guard decorated with Shaan's symbol emblemized upon his shield, and states, "From Miru you claim favor, Cleric?"
The elf moves a little bit to let space to the big humanoid.
"And I only spotted one or two of your kind my friend. Frandal Silvereyes of the Silvereys Clan. " he introduces himself, answering to Rammen's words and lending a hand for him to shake.
When the serving girl touches his shoulder he smiles at her.
"That sounds delightful. Please serve my friend here another jar of wine, and whatever he would like for dinner." [he gives the girl 1 gp]
He turns to Rammen " I would like to chat a little bit with you, but if you excuse me I cannot let the hard work of this maiden to cool down, but I will return and join you for dinner, or after it if you prefer to start now, if you agree."
With a little reverence to his new aquitance, he lets the girl guide him to his room.
The room was smaller of what he was used to, but was comfortable, clean, and above all, warm. He took a bath and let the hot water warm his muscles and took away the weariness of the past days journey.
After more or less 30 minutes he reappears in the common, with a clean set of journey clothes, and the rest of his stuff on his room.
[Frandal has bond with both his sword and bow]
He looks for the Tabaxi and rejoins him. [this last sentence is just to let you know of my intentions. I will wait to post until you say the time has passed ;)]
"A big cat, you say? Interesting individuals indeed," Rhogash mutters to himself. To the guard, he says, "I suppose The Lunar Queen is my next destination. Thank you."
Rhogash finds his way to The Lunar Queen. Once there he looks for an open spot to sit. In the process, he spots the Tabaxi and remarks,
"A big cat, indeed!"
Seeing a promising spot not far from the Tabaxi and still near the fire, he takes his seat and waits for a server to pass his way. As soon as he can catch their attention, he says,
"A plate of today's special, please. And a room if you have the space."
Valen unslings his shield and holds it before him with the left hand and pulls out a heavy medal pendant of Miru from inside his cloak with his right. "We are Miru's Bastion. We are the Walls and Hands of Her Will. I have been sent on pilgrimage as far as She deems to tend to the sick and injured, and bring hope to those in need. I would ask if you have a bed and food in exchange for my services as a healer, protector, or even laborer."

An acolyte eventually arrives as the sun begins to set, showing Valen to a small room, with a decent sized cot, and gives him several warm blankets while setting out a fire brazier to keep Valen warm through the night.
As you're settling in for the evening, those staying at the inn, the food and board total, two gold and one silver. Valen accrues no cost.
"Thank you good sir. I'll look for the Lunar Queen then."
Salleek orders a meal and room, and sits far enough away from the other guests so as to be mostly unnoticed, but still able to hear their conversation. His hood is raised, and his cloak remains on, as he tries not to draw attention to himself.

Frandal is more interested in what Rammen is telling him when the sorcerer approaches them.
"It is indeed. I am Frandal Silvereyes from the Silvereyes Clan. Please join us. Do you want wine? Something to eat? " he accomodates the clay jars on the table to make room for the newcomer's one.
"You say that you haven't encounter someone from the clans before? Haven't you walked among the woods of Evermoon? "
He looked to the figure that didn't remove his hood while it founds his place near, but haven't looked in his direction again once it has seated.
[Frandal pays his bill of 2 gp and 1 sp and for the dinner and drinks of whoever sits at his table. I think that it will be better to wait to the end of the night to add all the drinks ;) ]
Upon seeing the hooded figure, Rhogash senses something off, but he can't quite place it. He tries to ignore it, but there's a constant itch in the back of his mind.
"Please let me be just imagining that I saw scales under that hood."
He goes to pay for his meal and head up to his room.

PbP Character: A few ;)
Upon seeing the hooded figure, Rhogash senses something off, but he can't quite place it. He tries to ignore it, but there's a constant itch in the back of his mind.
"Please let me be just imagining that I saw scales under that hood."
He goes to pay for his meal and head up to his room.
