((Props go to the Tumblr page DND 5E Homebrew. I found a one shot there that I turned into a campaign. I thank them for the idea and one shot. I recommend looking at the page. Now, this is my first time DM'ing but I know my way around. I will allow anything from the 5e players handbook, along with homebrew and unearthed arcana as long as you pm me what it is to see if you can use it. I will not be too strict on posting but don't vanish from the face of the Earth and not tell anyone. Leveling up will be done with XP. For the future, when you roll for hp you roll and if you roll less than the average, you take the average. You can be any alignment you want. If you want characters to be connected, it's fine by me, just talk to the other players about it. Unless you know another player because of your backstory, you know no one else. If you want to make a dwarf character, please pm me because I have an idea for you. You all start at level one with your background gp, and the starting wealth gp by your class. You can use point buy or standard. If you want to roll please roll here. Thank you and I look forward to this.
There are two spots held already, but there is four left, first come first serve. Please post your character on here. You can roll up your character with a different website, type it all up here, or even make it IRL and put pics here.))
You all have received word, one way or another, that there is work to be done in the Port town Gillamoor. Having to do with the Prinos forest, with gold as the reward.
Yeah, technically I have a character that I wouldn't mind using here (a Lizardfolk Barbarian), but it's currently rolled up in another builder because I don't have access to either the PHB or Volo's Guide here on D&D Beyond. If you are using the campaign tools and have those books to share, I'd happily roll him up using the tools here. Then again you didn't mention Volo's as an acceptable source so I may be out of luck either way.

As long as you check with me, it's fine. I'll allow the lizard folk. But I expect a good backstory :). And you don't have to roll it up on that website.
Sadly I am still new to the tools here and I don't have volos, sorry.

At the moment he's pretty lean on story (he's a lizardfolk and he's a barbarian and he's an outlander). I can probably whip something together if I had a better idea of the campaign world in general (Forgotten Realms?) or, even better, if you could maybe supply a short character questionnaire that would help me better understand what parts of his history would interest you or have any future influence over the campaign.

Do you have a campaign link? If/when you do, can you message me?
Also, as a quick aside Finny, I actually have that one-shot adventure you describe. Do you want us reading part of it for world-building purposes? Are we actually playing out that adventure as a starter or did you use it to build out a whole different adventure with that world in mind?

Most of the action will be in US times I guess, with you being based in Kansas?
Do you plan on using the Campaign tools and other stuff that this site offers?

OK, I've got my sheet, just trying to work up a good backstory ;)
(BTW, my character is a sun elf bard)
Same here, got my Half-orc ranger done, now I just gotta finish my personality and backstory.
"The hero sought to save the world.
"If I keep trying, I'll be able to win," the hero thought.
But the harder the hero fought, the further the world seemed to tumble away.
Drowning in doubt, the hero could not even save themselves.
Hero, if you still believe in a brighter future, hold in your heart a thorn that can pierce all doubt."

Edit: I added a little bit extra to my backstory.
Edit Edit: Ok, I made him shareable now.

I did it! :D
Hold on, I'll try to get in to one character sheet.
OK, I've got it.
Here you go.
This seems interesting! I'll try to get the sheet up for my variant human druid.
Well, assuming I did this right, here's a link to Karst.
