Background: Emrys left home early, at the age of 13, in search of adventure, and he found it, when he was kidnapped on the road and eventually sold as a slave. He spent 2 years as a rowing slave , until the ship foundered on the coast of Ithmong (Lapaliiya) in heavy storms. The Lapaliiya happily hung the Northmen as pirates and freed the slaves. Due to his strength and young age, Emrys found employment as a portar in a merchant caravan headed for Talathgard (Halruaa), where he received some training in fighting from the caravan's guards. As the caravan made its way back north through the Borderlands and Calimshan, he progressed fully into the role of guard. When fate brought him to the Tethyr city of Ithmong, Emrys felt that fate had destined him for a change and left the caravan to join the Tethyr Army at the age of 17. Emrys spent the next 10 years in the army, rising to the rank of Sergeant, and being assigned to various posts. On the day he was to re-enlist, Emrys saw a white hawk flying east, and took this as another sign that it was time to move on. Since then, he has been traveling toward home, with a worry deep in his heart.

Background: Krem has lived most of his life in the wood as a hermit. He lived in harmony with the plants and creatures of the forest. When travelers found him in the forest, he would often invite them to his hut for a cup of herbal tea and some guidance. Unfortunately, one night, the forest was burned down by a large wildfire. Krem lost everything. Desperate, he tried calling for whatever entity would listen for help. One answered his plea. Sylvanus, the god of wild nature, offered him to rebuild his home if, in exchange, Krem would help protect the balance of nature. Ever since that day, Krem has been traveling the world, spreading the wisdom of nature where it was needed.

Background: Tahnis was born in a world where knights rode on dragons - and was named after one of its greatest heroes. His mother, Elenya, an elven bard and warrior, was from Evereka and left Faerun to live with his father, Johnathon, an archdruid and Steel Legionnaire. Elenya became a sheriff's deputy for the town of Solace and started training her son in various investigation techniques while Johnathon showed Tahnis the importance of nature. They went on numerous family vacations around Krynn, visiting various landmarks. When he came of age, Tahnis' parents - mostly his father - encouraged him to travel to Faerun and explore his mother's homeworld. They gave him a book containing a list of their favorite landmarks and cities. After Tahnis returned home, his father told him about Exandria and gave him a map of the continent of Wildemount. Knowing his son's love of travel, Johnathon encouraged him to leave for this new world.

Background: John spent the early years of his life as an apprentice to local wizard in his town. After years of studying from the books and lessons of his master, it was time for him to go out into the world for a sabbatical to learn not only lessons of magic, but how to socialize with the world around him.
Background: Julita lived quietly with her mother in their cottage on the coast. Her father left when she was young for reasons unknown to her. One day, a group of holy men passed by their home, battered and bruised. Julita's mother let them stay for a while. They taught Julita the ways of their god, and Julita herself became a holy woman. It was shortly after this that she manifested some psychic talents, though minor. When the holy men left, Julita went with them, and she eventually began travelling with the goal of converting people to her religion.
