At the inception of the multiverse, the gods of gods deemed that since there was a beginning, there must be an end. The end was inevitable. Dendar, the Night Serpent was deemed to be the end of existence. Locked away until the end approached, Dendar was imprisoned in the Realm of Nightmares. Every time a creature experienced fear, the bindings restraining the primordial serpent were loosened, and the End drew closer.
11 years ago, Dendar broke free of its confinement and plunged the Multiverse into darkness. Several planes of existence have already been completely and utterly annihilated, and several major deities were devoured by Dendar. The forces of the Multiverse now band together to fight off the unending hordes of the Destroyer of All. Angels and demons fight side by side, desperate to save existence. All those who wish to have the right to exist put aside their differences and work together. All the while, Dendar's laugh echoes through eternity.
Recently, Dendar succeeded in destroying the plane of Mount Celestia, now having a total of 7 destroyed planes of existence. With the power she gained, she let loose a roar that shook the planar firmaments. This roar caused some of the planar boundaries to buckle and weaken. Parts of the weakened planes broke off and were absorbed by the ever-growing Realm of Nightmares. You happened to be on one of those portions. After the mind-breaking experince, you find yourself in a very new environment. You appear to be in a pine forest. A faint mist fills the gaps between the trees. The sky is draped by the veil of night. Faint stars dot the sky, but they are dim compared to the moon. The moon looks very similar to a gigantic, crimson serpent eye that lights everything with a faint red glow. You are not alone. Others appear to be with you. Besides them, an occasional distant scream and roar fill the silent night air.

Orin grew up on the shores of Akros in a small fishing village, but like all Leonin he his driven by stories of heroes and glory. Once each year there is a huge tournament in Akros and only those who are comeing of age are allowed to participate. The winner can ask the King and Queen for a favour. Thirteen Years ago Orin won that tournament and his request was to join the ranks of the royal guards. Since then Orin fighted alongside some of the greatest heroes of his nation against monsters and gods to protect his King and Queen.
As a Paladin, Orin will be a tank and damage dealer, that speacialieses in close combat.

Backstory: Yrelin was born a slave, His Father was a full Orc war chieftain, his mother; one of his prisoners. Shortly after he was born his mother died in a slave uprising. Ever since the uprising the orcs had been especially hard on the slaves, since they were intent on keeping them subjugated. At the age of 10 Yrelin was allowed to fight in an arena, where one prisoner a year was freed. Despite all odds, fighting stronger foes,his resolve and dedication was stronger, he smashed the heads of all of them, gaining some renown in the process. He was released from his enslavement, but he had nowhere to go. He remained as a freeman, he had no say in the comings and goings of the tribe, nor could he own land, but he could make a living wage. As the world became crazy the slaves once again staged a revolt, and Yrelin was there to lead them. He personally smashed his own father's head in an effort for freedom and justice. He then left the village in search of adventure and in hope of saving his life so he could enjoy true freedom.
The orcs don't allow for the maiming or killing of their slaves, it's a boxing type of sport.

He lived a fairly simple life, doing his daily duties, maintaining a small temple to Moradin in a larger city, and tending to his flock. That is until 11 years ago. He had a nightmare so visceral and intense he feared he would never wake from it. He dreamed of a great Serpent consuming all it came across. The next day Rurick passed the tending of the temple to a close friend and fellow devotee, and strode off into the wider world, to beat back any evil he could find, and build strength to fight the great evil he believed was coming. It seemed that no matter how many cultist he foiled, undead he laid back to rest, or Dark sorcerer he put an end to, the world continued to get darker and darker, the evil growing stronger and stronger. Rurick never lost faith though, each enemy only helped build his resolve, and cement his belief this greater evil was coming.

Tracking and spying he would accept as jobs, for the right price and if it fell within his morals. Which he doesn't mind, but he's starting to want something more permanent. He's been tying up loose ends in his current town and trying to decide where to move on to, when chaos strikes and he gets swept away.

When he was walking home from the square after a day of flute work he witness a fight. A man built like a bull was fighting off some bandits and Erasmus knew them to be the same as those that killed his parents. He took out his dagger and charged forward. The large man saw this and leapt in between telling the young Erasmus to stay back.
This was the distraction the bandits needed and they shot an arrow into the man's back. He roared in response sending a blast of energy at the men finishing them off. He collapsed and beckoned the young satyr over. He told him that the power needed a host and told Erasmus to be good. A flash of light took over them and the stranger was gone but Erasmus felt stronger. A magic was within him now, and he would do good.
Backstory: Dexius grew up with his mom, his dad has been gone when he tried to make a deal devil to bring back his mom, who died after having him. He also had to look like he does now. To sustain him and his mother, he turned to life of crime, but was caught. But he was put to use, as a spy by the people who caught him, who weren't exactly a legal government. The settlement that he was spying on was caught in the fire of Dendar. His one goal is to find and protect his mother.

I saw millions of people dying, I saw the planes of existence being destroyed, but every time I fell asleep I always saw a huge serpent in the middle of it all. I didn't know why I had these visions but over the years it got worse and worse.
After twenty years of nightmares, all those dreams of the gigantic serpent were confirmed when I heard the mind jarring roar I had heard in so many nightmares. I knew what was going to happen but it still took me by surprise as I woke up in dark, pine forest shrouded in mist.
Aluphira was left on the doorstep of a monastery as a baby, presumably unwanted due to her obvious drow heritage. She grew up oblivious of her origins, or even that she was somehow different from the rest. She knew her skin was a different color, but the monks were too kindly to explain to her what her drow heritage would likely mean for her. She was trained in the monks' ways, both fighting and art. She became an accomplished archer and duelist, and eventually began to leave the monastery—mostly just on hunting expeditions and the like. She returned from one expedition to find her monastery in flames, and the remains of a troop of bandits encamped inside. They had obviously not expected the monks to be such tough opponents, but managed to triumph through sheer force of numbers. Aluphira managed to pick them off one by one, then fled into the surrounding countryside. She tried to ask for help at a nearby village, which was when she first heard the word "drow." She was ran off and nearly skewered for her efforts, and ended up living on the road. She's since travelled far, looking for a place that might accept her despite her ancestry, an ancestry she isn't even familiar with.

backstory: as a child he was taken from his tribe perform in the circus and then through that learned how to pick locks to escape, use swords to kill those guarding him, and he left. He civilized himself and learned the art of assassination. Then he killed his trainer and apparently fell of the world a few weeks afterwards.
