A campaign I'm currently running, Forever Dark, has recently fell below the minimum players, and I'm looking for 2-4 more players to join the campaign. Below is the campaign's description.
Within the region of Eridon, lies a kingdom covered by an Eternal Night; Derivar. Evil rules this once peaceful land, the sun never shines, the undead are stronger, lycanthropes are unable to change to their true forms, and no one is able to leave. A massive evil gorilla, known as The Corrupt, terrorizes the land, and is said to be the cause of the Eternal Night. It has a nasty bite that can change someone into a follower of his likeness. Many soldiers and adventurers have tried to stop The Corrupt, but its bite got to them too soon, as only heroes who hold a Ruby of Light can withstand The Corrupt's warping bite, but finding them is a daunting task, since no one knows their location. The Queen has plead for brave adventurers to find the Rubies of Light and stop The Corrupt.
About the Campaign and DM
This is a new homebrew campaign I made inspired by a nightmare I had. Unlike most of my campaigns (which are set in peaceful worlds) it is a dark-themed campaign set inside a kingdom ruled by darkness. This campaign is a work-in-progress, but I've got all the main assets in, and its ready to go.
Hi, I'm a new-ish DM (1 3/4 Years) with the basics under my belt --as well as a few other knowledges--. My overall DM-ing style is roleplay-heavy with combat varying greatly on the campaign. I do not have any access to image sites, nor do I know of any --other than Imagr Xl--, so this campaign will lack in movement combat or any pictures.
Information on Derivar and Eridon
History
Derivar
Derivar was a place of promise, there were beautiful towns, lush wilderness, and a gorgeous plains. The Everas (royal family) and several explorers first settled on the land centuries ago, searching for promise and the fabled Fountain of Youth. Once settled in, they were not going to leave the land until they found the fountain, but they never did. With 10 years of no luck, it was decided that they would settle in permanently, after discovering the abundance of resources in the land, thus the Everas family claimed the position of power.
The new kingdom brought in several travelers who became attached to the newfound beauty of Derivar, causing the kingdom to grow fairly quickly. With more new citizens coming in every day, Silverus was not big enough to support everyone, so Daxun Everas I decided to build two more towns in the kingdom. One was to be built atop the steepest hill in the northeast to provide protection to the civilians. The other was to be surrounded by wilderness to provide the druids and rangers with the comforts of the wilderness.
Just as the kingdom was at its best, the worst has come. One chilly February, The Corrupt was created, it sent a large shake into the kingdom and caused the sky to get covered in a pitch black, known as The Eternal Night. The entire kingdom was turned upside down, the landscape was warped, monsters were attacking Silverus, raiding the towns and bringing Derivar Castle to ruins. The Corrupt took control of the kingdom, spreading its visage across the kingdom and striking fear and despair into the hearts of many.
People
Ever since The Corrupt, the Derivans became afraid and unwelcoming. Whenever someone even mentions The Corrupt, they run for shelter and close up windows, believing its coming. Children are told never to leave town because of how dangerous it is, and are told never go near people they don't know.
Derivans typically greet animalfolk races (such as Lizardfolk, Loxodon, and Leonin) with stares and sometimes run when they're near, since rumor had it they were controlled by The Corrupt (The rumor is false).
Landscape
Derivar, is full of creepy forests with winding paths and mist covered grounds. A towering mountain, said to be the lair of The Corrupt, stands tall in the kingdom's north, two smaller mountains stand on each of its sides. Rolling hills cover a majority of the northeast part of Derivar, many are steep as a result of the Eternal Night, making them hard to travel through. There are three major towns; Silverus, the capital set in Derivar's center, RobinOak, in the middle of the Winding Forest, and Glitzy Hollow, atop a very steep hill in the town's northeast

Backstory: Mal'thrae's city was one of the first to be destroyed by the monsters of the corrupt. Though many said to shut their doors and take shelter at first, the half-drow could not shake the feeling of unease in him, and so he fled, hearing later that the city had been nearly leveled in the week following his escape. He lives a life constantly on guard, and though he treasures the moments where he can find another town to seek shelter in, Mal'thrae fears it might never last. Indeed, he has had to flee several towns in this manner, and hopes that the next might be somewhere finally safe.

Right now, the party has discovered a way to find the Rubies of Light by recovering five pendants that open the path to them. They've discovered the location of the second pendant is within a realm accessed by a portal that appeared in someone's yard.
