They seem built for one another! This is likely more of a boon for the PHB original as they get only one attack anyway when the beast is commanded to attack, but the Tasha’s optional variant does it very well also.
It’s also thematically and narratively appropriate.
Does anyone have any thoughts or stories about beast master rangers and using a net?
For the PHB beast master, do they also have to make the net attack after the beast attacks (like shield master and two weapon fighting wording and SAC (meaning “when you take the attack action”)?
Based in the specific different wording in the subclass I’d say no.
