Distant strike states: If you attack at least two different creatures with the action, you can make one additional attack with it against a third creature.
If I were to use the additional attack (given to me by this ability) to attack two or more enemies, would it trigger the ability again? Or is it a once per action ability?
It is my belief that all the attacks still occur within the same individual attack action, despite those attacks being split by movement/teleports, so this can only trigger once.
In the first paragraph of this feature, it says "When you take the Attack action." You use your action to attack twice, and if you attack two separate targets, you can also attack a third, as part of that same action. It's allowing you to increase the number of attacks per attack action, not increasing your number of actions.
