RELEASE NOTES

Spelljammer: Adventures in Space presents the Astral Plane as a Dungeons & Dragons campaign setting unlike any other. Home of the stars and gateway to the heavens, the Astral Plane teems with excitement and possibility. With the help of magic, spelljammers can cross the oceans of Wildspace, ply the silvery void known as the Astral Sea, and hop between worlds of the D&D multiverse.

• New blog post: Leveling up our Creative Process: Learnings from Spelljammer.
• There is a new Errata available as well.
• At the community's request, we have also added a new compendium page that contains the tables previously only found on the DM screen.

Syncing Entitlements

If you don’t see any of the content from the book, please be sure to resync your entitlements. You can do so by following these steps:

1. Navigate to this link: https://www.dndbeyond.com/account/marketplace
2. Click on "Sync My Entitlements"

Once completed, your content should appear! If you experience any issues with accessing your preorder perks please reach out to our Support Team.

INTER-BOOK NAVIGATION

Spelljammer: Adventures in Space consists of three different books:

• Astral Adventurer's Guide
• Boo's Astral Menagerie
• Light of Xaryxis

As they're technically 3 different sources (but all tied together in a single Spelljammer package) - we've taken special considerations for how you can navigate through each book. When you open Spelljammer: Adventures in Space, you will see a rather large Table of Contents:

While this "Mega-ToC" will contain the Table of Contents for each book on a single page, you also have the option of clicking one of those buttons. When you do, you will be brought to a Table of Contents specific to that book:

So regardless of what you're looking for, you always have the option to look at a specific book's contents or the entirety of Spelljammer Table of Contents! Furthermore, each of those sources have their own landing page, so you can quickly navigate there whenever you'd like.

Furthermore - if you end up looking at the listings, we've added an identifier to help you recognize which book something is from. It will look like this:

CHARACTER OPTIONS: RACE

There are 6 new playable races:

• Astral Elf
• Autognome
• Giff
• Hadozee
• Plasmoid
• Thri-kreen

All of them are available and playable on D&D Beyond!

CHARACTER OPTIONS: BACKGROUNDS

The backgrounds presented in Astral Adventurer's Guide grants you a Feat upon taking the selected Background. While the automation of this feature isn't currently supported, you can manually add the relevant feat from your background via the Features & Traits section in the Character Sheet, then clicking on "Manage Feats". Please reference the .gif below.

August 26th Update:

• Fixed an issue where the Vehicles (Space) proficiency wasn't appearing on the character sheet.

January 25th, 2023 Update:

• Backgrounds now grant feats! If you already had a feat added manually (via the method above or through normal character creation), the Backgrounds section of the Character Builder will indicate that the feat has been taken. This is now available for Homebrew as well!

SUPPORT FOR SPELLJAMMERS

You can't very well explore Wildspace and the Astral Sea without a trusty Spelljamming Ship! Thankfully, we've got you covered.

All of the Spelljamming Ships presented in Astral Adventurer's Guide are available on the Character Sheet for you to use, and can be added as a Mundane Item in the event that you want to track your inventory on one of these ships. To add them to your character sheet:

First click on the "Extras" section.

Then click on "Manage Extras".

Then, in the Manage Extras sidebar, select "Vehicles" from the dropdown.

From there you can add your new Spelljamming Ship (or peruse them) at your leisure! You can also check them out on the vehicles listings page!

MINOR COMPENDIUM DESIGN TWEAKS

Lastly - myself and the rest of the Lorekeepers team made the following adjustments to the "typical" compendium experience for Spelljammer: Adventures in Space:

• The link color has been changed to be a darker blue (for better visibility and contrast against various elements).
• We've added more thematic shading to the sidebar (depending on what type of header level you're currently on).
• All of the buttons to view Unlabeled Deck Plans for the Spelljammer Ships also use a different color to signify the difference between that and a typical Player Map.
