I am not looking for opinion here just the Jeremy Crawford rules as intended answer.
The class feature is Ki-Empowered Strikes not "unarmed strikes" so the question is does this mean that all unarmed strikes count as magical for the purpose of overcoming resistance and immunity to nonmagical attacks and damage OR does it only apply to those Ki-Empowered Strikes by spending a Ki point using flurry of blows?

I'm not responsible for managing your feelings or how you perceive or understand what I say and if you get offended, it doesn't make you right just means you cry and whine louder. I grew up in a time where sticks and stone may break my bones but words will never hurt me, such a missing trait among younger people nowadays.
The rule says "Starting at 6th level, your unarmed strikes count as magical for the purpose of overcoming resistance and immunity to nonmagical attacks and damage."
Thus, ALL of your unarmed strikes count as magical, whether or not you spend a ki point. The title of the ability "Ki-Empowered Strikes" is just flavor, and is not controlling.

The feature should have specified if there were any ki-cost. So, any unarmed strike attack is magical, whether or not you spend ki points.
