Alien weapons as pact weapons.

I am running a group through Icewind Dale and they’ve picked up some laser rifles. I have a Hexblade warlock that was curious if she could use one as her pact weapon. Just was wanted to know some peoples opinion on this.

According to the pact if the blade feature, you can turn a magic weapon into a pact weapon. If the laser rifles are not magic, then it is not RAW.

Pact if the blade also does not say anything about generating ammo for ranged weapons (even the improved pact weapon invocation doesn't).
