As far as the rules are concerned the only way to silver a weapon is to spend 100 gp to have it done, or buy an already silvered weapon; your fists/feet etc. never actually count as weapons though so they're not eligible for silvering. If you have some kind of natural weapon (claws, horns etc.) that you can use to make unarmed strikes then you could maybe get those silvered but it'd be a DM call.
Otherwise a ring's effectiveness would also be up to your DM; personally I'd say a ring might hurt more, but won't do meaningful damage. To make your unarmed strikes silvered you'd really need silvered knuckle dusters or such.

No because the damage from unarmed strike is not dealt by a silver ring but whatever part of your boy used, wether you were something silver, magical or not. Wrapping your fist in magical cloak doesn't make them magical neither.
Making improvised attack by throwing your silver ring would work though
I think anything like a silver gauntlet or knuckle duster substantive enough to make the attack count as silvered would be a melee weapon unto itself, so it would no longer be an unarmed strike.
Resistance/Immunity to non-silvered attacks. I would rule that a silver ring does not change your unarmed damage to defeat a resistance or immunity.
Regeneration that does not work if you take silver damage (WereRaven).
The Were Raven's regeneration which does not trigger if it takes ANY silver weapon damage (or spell). Technically the ring is not a weapon even if it is silver. However, you could declare the ring an improvised weapon. I would let it do 1 pt of damage on a hit.. If you were willing to use it as an improvised weapon for any one of your attacks that round, if it hits not only would it do the 1 pt of damage but it would prevent the Were raven from regenerating it's 10 hp.

I think letting someone spend 100gp for silvered knuckle-dusters would not be unreasonable, but the amount of force transferred just by a ring is way too small to do damage.
Plus a hand makes several different attacks. Hit something with a fist, side of hand, back of hand or palm. The ring may never make contact.
Maybe a cloth glove with enough silver threads woven into it would be enough but that is a DM's rule. No extra rigidity or weight to cause extra damage but just enough silver to make it work.

If my character is wearing a silver ring, does that mean unarmed strikes with that hand are silvered?
Not in the rules, no.

Two different things:
