I understand WHY casting classes don't multiclass well with Barbarian but looking at the Tempest Cleric, many of the best features don't actually require you to cast or maintain spells.
Your damage aura doesn't. The protection you grant the party doesn't either. Now standing within 10' of an over-zealous Rage machine that throws lightning around might not sound prudent but I'm liking the sound of a Barbarian 12/Cleric 8 multiclass. The character gets all the nifty features like Divine Smite once a turn, a second attack, most of the cool Barbarian toys etc.
I kind of like the idea of a viking holy man, a man of peace, who has the ability to totally Rage-out for a very active and electrically-charged fight and then helping the party with his Cleric abilities afterwards.
I’m finally able play for once and this is exactly where I’m going with my Dragonborn Servant of Kord. Especially from an rp/flavor standpoint, it’s a perfect fit.
I’m not too worried about casting in combat, although being the only healer in the party... I hope the others in our group will learn to be cautious in battle. But taking my first level or 2 in cleric should give everyone time to get into their characters and come up with some tactics before I become a vessel of the storm lords fury

What does everyone else think?
Cleric of Thor!
Item's - Sashelas' Spear, Thunder Beads, Diadem of the Owl, Bag of Stasis
Race - Fey-Touched
Subclass - Circle of Vitality
Monsters - Blood Bear
Spell - Arcbolt
Pretty much my thinking!
