If Twinned Spell is going to be taken away, then just remove it and call it by what it is actually doing. It should be called Enhance Spell,because that is what it is doing. Calling it Twinned Spell is completely misleading.

I agree, they should absolutely have changed the name.
I think something like "Expanded Spell" might be better.
The Twinned Spell still target additional creatures, just now it's with spells that already can do so at higher level, thus heavily nerfed compared to what it was.
When you play D&D with the 2024 Player’s Handbook, it replaces all rules, classes, subclasses, spells, feats, equipment, species, and backgrounds in the 2014 version of the book.
