When a Druid, circle of the moon in this example, wild shapes into a Giant Spider do they get the Giant Spiders abilities? In this case the ability to shoot web? The PH specifically says that "use your action to magically assume the SHAPE of a beast..." To me the key word there is shape. If you are just taking on the shape of the creature then how are you producing web to shoot at another creature. This is different than polymorph which transforms you into a beast.
Wild shape did a bad job explaining its exact rules. It is implied that some race or class features should apply to the beast form, but RAW you have all the beast's stats and abilities except you have the druids mind stats and save and skill proficiencies in addition to the beast's save and skill proficiencies.
Thankfully, the D&D Beyond character sheet does an excellent job in merging the proper stats/abilites when you add a beast as a wildshape under the Creatures tab.

WildShape says you assume the beast's stats block, and that includes traits and actions.
