Ok, so, recently, I had an idea for a Monk/Fighter multi class, and for the fighting style I would pick Unarmed Fighting, which says your unarmed strike damage is equal to 1d6 + your strength modifier, or 1d8 if you have two hands free. So, my question is: would the damage from the Unarmed Fighting and the damage from the Monk's Martial Arts stack together? I know it's a bit of a noob question but I'm serious.
They don't stack if you mean you would add the 1d6/8 from the Unarmed Fighting style and your Martial Arts die together. Look at what the Martial Arts feature says: "You can roll a d4 in place of the normal damage of your unarmed strike or monk weapon. This die changes as you gain monk levels, as shown in the Martial Arts column of the Monk table." What it means is you can either roll damage using the default die for your unarmed strike or weapon attack, or use your Martial Arts die instead. At lower levels you may still be using the weapon's default die since it's higher, but eventually your Martial Arts die will match or exceed the damage die of any standard Monk/Kensei weapon.

Interesting. Thanks for clarification.
