Hello there new D&D Player here. I have been having discussions about spells with other players and we can't agree on how some things work out.
Feeblemind gives a saving throw after 30 days for the Spell. But can I feeblemind a feebleminded creature again on day 15 delaying the save to day 45? Or does the original spell save on day 30 act against both casts? I would presume it works like a lingering, that both casts work separate from each other. Another Opinion would be to see it as a status condition, you can't be more on fire than being on fire, if it's out it's out. But that would mean its a magic effect and curable through counterspell, which it isn't. If it works as an injury healing magic should fix it other than the spellsave, which it doesn't. Please Help we have been eating each others hair discussing this.
If it stacks a lvl 14 necromancer pc could feeblemind a death tyrant and command undead him to be his pet without high risk of it turning wild while it would be straight suicide the other way.
On page 205 of the phb it states “the effects of the same spell cast multiple times don’t combine” I think this would mean you would need to wait until the end of the duration to cast the spell again on the same target.
However, i don't think feeble mind can "combine" since it sets the stat to a fixed value. The next sentence on phb 205 says durations overlap. For me, that implies casting before the duration ends is effective.

First of all, healing magic does cure feeblemind, as explained in the spell’s description.
But each instance of the spell’s effect is taken separately for duration.
Target fails save against instance A on day 0, rip.
Target fails a second save against instance B on day 14, double rip.
Target gets an instance A save on day 30; if it succeeds, instance A is gone, but there’s still 15 days before it gets save against instance B.
On day 45, target gets its save against instance B. If it succeeds, its mind is no longer feeble.
Thank you for the answer!
