My friend wants to say that the new item (Amulet of the Devout) adds a bonus to the attack rolls of weapons affected by Shillelagh.
I disagree and say that Shillelagh does not provide a spell attack roll and therefore is unaffected by the item.
DndBeyond adds the Amulet of the Devout bonus to Shillelagh. Does this mean that if a weapon is imbued by Shillelagh, all attacks done by that weapon are now considered spell attacks instead of weapon attacks? Please advise.

Shillelagh does not involve any spell attack rolls, no.
The Amulet of the Devout behavior is an error.
Yeah, that's a bug because they didn't code shillelagh the way it actually works.
[Spell name] changes the weapon's damage, but it is still a weapon and you make a weapon attack with it.
