So I’m fairly new to dnd so I didn’t know how to answer this question when my dm asked me. He asked me if when I use my hidden step ability does it just turn me invisible or all my clothes and things hanging off of me. So I figured I’d come here to ask and get clarification 

If you look at the invisibility condition it might tell you.

But normally invisibility magic makes you and everything you are carrying invisible - and probably everything you pick up afterwards too.

Since it doesn't say it affects objects worn or carried, I guess it doesn't.

You still gett that benefits of the invisible condition: disadvantage targeting you, advantage attacking, able to hide easily.
