So I was reading clockwork and divine soul they say that you can change the spell from the origin list like clockwork says same lvl and from abjuration or transmutation spell from wizard warlock and sorcerer list and divine soul says cleric list but i can't seem to be able to change it.
Is there something I'm doing wrong or is it something I can't actually do?
Likelihood is that this is something that site is still working on. There are a few other things that I know DnDBeyond staff are working on to correct for a few of the new feats and such. Give it time and hopefully they'll eventually be able to fix it.
Though you can always send in a support request to make them aware of this issue in case they are unaware of it.
Aberrant Mind - Psionic Spells. We don't currently have a method to allow swapping these spells out. We are looking at solutions for this. "Whenever you gain a sorcerer level, you can replace one spell you gained from this feature with another spell of the same level. The new spell must be a divination or an enchantment spell from the sorcerer, warlock, or wizard spell list."
Clockwork Soul - Clockwork Spell. See Psionic Spells above.
Now this isn't actually 100% true as I've been able to fix this using homebrew and while it was tedious it wasn't that hard, but who knows, maybe they want to make a better system before releasing it. If you want to do this yourself you need to copy one of the new subclasses, remove the extra spells and add a bunch of subclass features like "1st level origin spells" and "2nd level origin spells" and so on, and then you have to manually add all the available spells twice as choices for those levels. When a character gets the feature they have to first choose the correct starter spells and then as they level further they can swap them out
copy the subclass in homebrew, click edit on the Psionic spells feature (or Clockwork magic)
delete the table with the list of spells from the list in the description. click save
Click edit on the spells you want to change, click save
remove the spell and change it to the one you want., click save
voila!
The result: you wont be able to select your spell with a scroll-down menu in the edit a character sheet menu. But, the spells you selected will appear in your spell list with the Psionic spell tag, or Clockwork magic tag.
So when you level up, if you want to select a new spell from the list, you have to edit your homebrew and select a new spell following these same steps.
So what i did for the homebrew was just were the spells were added wad remove the spell named so like if its aid i deleted it from the box then i put lvl of spell in the spell lvl box and added in class list Sorcerer , warlock, and wizard on some of them i add artificer cause you can't chose like aid or lesser restoration and then after your done with that go to character creation chose the spells that you get from the class feature then keep in mind what spells you can chose and when you can change them. It seems to work well but i did have a small problem it saving sometimes but gave it some time to refresh my changes and it seem to work rly well
But thank you all for the idea to use the homebrew option to make this feature work now all i have to remember is just what school of spell they can take
This only works if you have purchased Tasha's if your DM is sharing it with you it will not work and they will have to do this for you. Just an FYI as I dont want to be a pain in the my DM's ass

I'm using the Clockwork Soul class and I just ran into this issue. Has D&D Beyond made any kind of statement about when we can expect this feature to be fixed?

Not that I’m aware of. It’s in the pipeline but I wouldn’t expect it anytime soon. So you will have to resort to the workaround above, or follow link in my previous post
This has been a problem since Divine Souls discovered they couldn't change out their level 1 spell. I think its an issue that has been going on for three years so I wouldn't expect a solution any time soon.
We're over a year since Tasha's release. It's really annoying the only solution to this is still a homebrew work around. Dndbeyond needs to PLEASE get this fixed. I can't believe it's an issue that's so hard it's taken a year to devote the time to work it out.
At this point, I just use the spell customization to rename the granted spells to the name of the spells I'm taking, then add a homebrew magic item containing links to all of those spells
So, aren't the spells limited by spell level for the Clockwork Sorcerer? Also, aren't there dropdown options for class features/feats already? So, why not provide a drop down/configure box within the class feature with the spells within, starting with the initial spells but also providing the spell options based on the magic school/level to be switched out. For example 1st level on the spell list is Alarm and Protection from Evil and Good, have them in a dropdown/configure format, if you keep them then they are the spells you want, however if you click on one ore both of them then a list of 1st level transmutation/abjuration spells displays, one chooses, and then these are the spells that show up on your completed character. And this can be repeated for all of your class feature spell levels (1,3,5,7,9). Admittedly, not a computer programmer but this seems reasonable.
Thanks for the reply. This issue just doesn't seem like it should be that difficult to fix, however this is coming from a limited view/perspective. Also, individuals like yourself have come with effective work-arounds, so adjusting this feature moves further down the priority list for Dnd Beyond I suppose. Anyway, do take care.

Cool ill look into it thanks
Another way to homebrew a solution to this issue:
copy the subclass in homebrew, click edit on the Psionic spells feature (or Clockwork magic)

Until it is implemented I'm using a homebrew feat I found to add spells and just customizing the spells I replaced to remind myself not to cast them.
Hi! I like your solution! Could you explain the 'add spells twice' part please? I am struggling with this part
This thread has instructions I’ve used that work. Check it out. Hopefully you will find it helpful
Thx!

yes, that is what I mainly did by homebrewing a copy of the subclass, going to the spells feature, and modify the spells to be a drop-down list.
