Greetings, fellow gamers! With the release of Tasha's Cauldron of Everything, sorcerers now have origin spells that they can swap out as they level up. Sadly, D&D Beyond has yet to implement a way to do this using the official subclass—but not to worry! You can easily use the Homebrew system to compensate for this. Right now, I'm going to walk you through it. For this example, we're going to assume we want to play a Clockwork Soul sorcerer, and want to change out the alarm spell for armor of Agathys.
First up, we need to create our homebrew subclass. Either follow this link or, if you're on a PC browser, scroll over the collections tab, and select "Create Subclass" under the "Homebrew" category. If you're on a mobile browser, select collections, and choose "Browse & Create Homebrew." From there, you can choose "Create Homebrew Subclasses."
On the next page, choose the class you want to create a subclass for: Sorcerer. Below that, you have the option to either Create From Scratch—NO—or Select an existing Subclass as a Template. That second option is the one we want. Type in "Clockwork Soul" and click "Create."
On this page, we can name our subclass, choose a version number, and enter in a description snippet and full description. You can copy-paste the description from here (or here if you're modifying the Aberrant Mind). Make sure to Save Changes!
Now that you've created the subclass, you can swap out the appropriate spells. Open the Class Features tab, and choose to "edit" the Clockwork Magic feature (or Psionic Spells for Aberrant Mind). There are two steps to modifying a spell. First, in the feature description, go in the table to where it reads "alarm" and type in "armor of Agathys" in its place. Once that is done, Save Changes.
Now for the second step. Scroll down to the Spells category and open it. Go to the spell you want to change—alarm—and choose to "edit" it. On the next screen, delete the original spell, and type in your new one—armor of Agathys. Again, save your changes! Repeat this two-step process for any other spells you want to change out; maybe for 3rd level spells, you want to change dispel magic for counterspell. Go nuts! Just remember, you can only swap out one of these spells each time you level up. And when in doubt, Save Changes. Never hurts.
Now that we have our modified subclass, we need to add it to our character sheet. Choose to edit your chosen character, and click over to the "Home" tab. Check to make sure that "Homebrew Content" is enabled. If it isn't, enable it. Then click back over to "Class." Open up class features, and open up the "Sorcerous Origin" feature. Under the dropdown, you should see whatever name you gave for your modified subclass; pick that one. If you gave it the same name as the official origin, you will need to choose one, then check to see if the Clockwork Magic/Psionic Spells feature has the corrected spells listed.
And that's it! The homebrew subclass will work just like the official one, except you get to pick the right spells. Whenever you want to change these spells, just go into your "Homebrew Creations" and edit the custom subclass. If you are using your DM's resources with D&D Beyond's Campaign feature, you will need to have them create the custom subclass using this process, and then you can select it with your character.
I know that's a lot of text, but once you get the hang of this, it's really easy. Go forth and be aberrant! Change your clocks! And enjoy your games!
One last note: some are disappointed that Clockwork Soul is a Charisma-based class. Using the Homebrew system, it is really easy to change your spellcasting ability to Intelligence, assuming the DM allows it. Just go under the Basic Information for the subclass and change the Spellcasting Ability to Intelligence. Note that this won't change the multiclass requirements, so if you plan to multiclass, you should turn those requirements off.
Whats worse is I have Tashas right now only shared to me in my campaign from the DM. I cannot make a copy of Clockwork Soul. I will have to rebuild the entire thing myself and I am finding it rather difficult. I do not understand the process. I am playing in a charity oneshot tomorrow night and this is a real drag. I would like to not have to complain about DnD Beyond letting me down on the livestream.

"I was led to believe there would be punch and pie?"
Appreciate the in-depth post, but I'm receiving this warning that won't allow me to use it. Tried changing the name, but it won't update.
This Subclass cannot be shared with the community for the following reasons:
This homebrew Subclass has data mapped to it that is licensed content or private homebrew. This typically occurs when licensed or private homebrew spells are linked to the Subclass.
COPY_OF_Clockwork Soul is currently too similar to Clockwork Soul to share with the community.

You can use it, you just cannot “share with comunity/publish” it. You never need to publish just to use it. You can use that all day every day until the apocalypse comes, you just cannot publish it. The reason you cannot publish it? Because it is not your original work and publishing it would be illegal. So, don’t publish it, just use it. (That is the nature of “private” homebrew.)
I have all the source books but it still won't give me the option to use Clockwork as the base for my homebrew subclass- for each class I only have one option (Dragon, Beserker, Fiend, etc)

Is this really the only way? Ugh. Come on dndb. Get it together. If I wanted to build these all in Homebrew I wouldn't have bought the book.
Thanks for posting this sir. It's just disappointing to have to do this.

I hear you. It is disappointing; hopefully they implement a workable system in the next few months.

So problem solved, I just bought th subclass but I am not able to add armor of amythys no mater what I do. It is really maddeing!
"I was led to believe there would be punch and pie?"

That spell is not free content, to access that spell you either need to purchase the PHB, or at lesser that specific spell from the PHB.

You can ask your DM to make the homebrew class for you following this process, and it should work just fine, Flint.
