Since your character is level 15, she most likely has several adventures under her belt. I suggest considering how those adventures went - what skills or abilities did she learn from her adventures, and what hardships and glory moments did she experience that shaped her backstory and personality?
Since she is chaotic evil, it would not surprise me if your character had a history serving a powerful evil entity or a crime lord. I can give you some ideas to potentially build on (or steal, I don't mind) from NPCs I have created and played in the past as a dungeon master. If you want to read them, I put them in a spoiler blind.
Arak (Half-dragon valor bard, Chaotic Good): Arak was raised by a copper dragon on the Elemental Plane of Earth. She taught herself how to read and then read about a wide variety of subjects from that dragon's library, and began to become interested in being a bard. Later, she was kidnapped and forced into slavery by a Dao until she found a treasure chest holding a magical sword and a book of bardic lore. Using the magic sword, she fought the Dao's gargoyle minions and escaped through a portal to the material plane which led to a rundown area in a major city. Ever since, she has travelled far through many countries and become a highly successful adventurer.
Gash (Gnoll barbarian/ranger, Chaotic Neutral): Gash was abandoned soon after birth by his gnoll pack, but was taken in by a circle of druids which raised him under their traditions. He was trained by an elf ranger named Caeldrim who remains his loyal comrade to this day, and became committed to fighting the gnolls and demons that live in his forest. He has not completely overcome his demonic urges, but remains one of the least evil gnolls in existence.
Orenzi (warlock, Neutral Evil): Orenzi has the homebrew Xachiti race (somewhat similar to the tabaxi with a wilder, more tribal feel) that I use in my campaigns. Orenzi was trained to become a priest of the Xachiti goddess Ixich, but the demon lord Yeenoghu came to her in a dream and impersonated Ixich. Before long, Orenzi entered a pact with the gnoll lord, who was bent on corrupting and dominating the Xachiti race using Orenzi as means of doing so. He persuaded Orenzi to usurp her mentor and become the priest in her clan, then began to train the future priests in other Xachiti clans to follow Yeenoghu's evil plans. Now, Orenzi is a diabolical arch-warlock of the Gnoll Lord who has become dangerously close to achieving his goals.
When creating your backstory, don't be afraid to use your imagination and create what you want your character to be. Happy adventuring!

I love Dian; she has great stats and all, but I haven't been able to think of a good backstory. I need help.
She's a ranger, bard and fighter (each level 5), a lot of money because she is a criminal and she's chaotic evil.
Edit: I'm new and I mean like, what are/were her parents like? Where did she grow up? Stuff like that.
Wanderer is almost always good, though it might not stack with ranger. You could go soldier backround too.
BoringBard's long and tedious posts somehow manage to enrapture audiences. How? Because he used Charm Person, the #1 bard spell!
He/him pronouns. Call me Bard. PROUD NERD!
