I am playing a Elven warlock/ Druid in my campaign her Archfey patron uses primarily transmutation magic and is interested in many magic items I’m interested in building my patrons lore and story does anyone have any suggestions or recommendations for how to handle making this lore? As some extra information the Archfey’s name is Lilysha and lives in a cave.
The first thing that comes to my mind when you say a downright evil spirit that lives in a cave is the Psoglav. (I have a weird mind) The Psoglav is a ghoul from Slavic folklore with the head of a dog with only one eye, hairy humanoid torsos, and two horse legs. They dig up bodies in graveyards to eat and they dwell deep in caves filled with marvelous gemstones. I could imagine an Archfey that is inspired by this creature.
Truly one of the cool things about archfey is they can look like anything. There are several archfey that are drastically different in appearance, so go crazy.
One of the things that transmutation magic is well known for (at least in my games) is the flesh to stone spell. Back to appearances an archmage of some sort (like Tasha kinda) or a fey version of a Medusa could work.
The fey being a collector of magic items could be either like a just a hobby for them, collecting a whole set of items they think are pretty, or maybe their a magic item auctioneer, people who don’t bid high enough or sell them fake items end up as statues.
your character could’ve made a deal or bargain with this fey, and as part of the transaction, they gave your character her powers.

I like both of the ideas and plan to use them both in my Archfey I will let you know how they turn out. thanks for the contributions!
Lilysha is an Archfey of great renown known for her exuberant auctions and parties and is often found those who don’t bid high enough are often found dead or frozen and sometimes as her servants there is a massive difference between how she is in the day and how she is in the night. In the day she is a wonderful benevolent being and is wonderful for people to be around in the night she becomes a bloodthirsty hag trapped in her own mind with fantasy’s a great future where she is all powerful the 2 are not aware of the other and profusely refuse to believe the other exists. The night version of Lilysha kills those who don’t pay up at the auction and often eats the bodies before reverting to her ordinary form as the sun rises. She lives on her domain of delight in a floating island which is surrounded by forests there are several settlements in the night a gateway opens in a cave that functions as the auction house this allows bidders to enter from the material plane.
Although she is relatively new to being an Archfey several strange shenanigans with time have happened meaning that whole bloodlines have lived and died within the domain of delight there is even a time of the year when you can travel to a place in time when she isn’t an Archfey. Her best servant Elximand in fact grew up on the domain of delight before leaving to become an adventurer before returning years later when the domain had just ben create. Liysha’s night form only happens at full moon.

I too would be happy to assist but what is the real question you are asking? You have some ideas in your OP but not much to go on.
Do you have a foundation for the ArchFey?
Is there a theme you are going for?
Is the Archfey wise, wicked, playful, downright evil, or trapped, and is using the player to escape from prison?
I live my life like a West Marches campaign, A swirling vortex of Ambitions and Insecurities.
Downright evil
