Wasn't sure which forum this topic should go. We all know that goliaths are descendants of giants, so does this mean that they have an amicable (or non-hostile) relationship with each other? I realize this may vary by the type of giant and goliath. If you know of something well thought out on this topic, please share. If not, what do you think is plausible? As a DM and a player with a Stone Giant ancestry, I plan on running my PC as having a friendly (non-hostile) relationship with Stone Giants. I think my PC's posture towards other giants, however, might be one of something resembling de facto tolerance, which could improve or decline depending on the (non-stone) giants encountered. LMK if you have any other thoughts on the general goliath-giant relationship or the relationship between specific sub-species of goliaths and giants!

Glory of the Giants has an entry on the "goliath giant-kin". It says that "goliaths have the strength and fortitude to garner a giant's respect. Communities of goliaths who live in close relationship with giants emulate them and are recognized by the giants as kin". So I think the overall answer would be yes, an amicable relationship.
