Totakei - The second largest continent in size, however the smallest in population as it is mostly desert and wasteland. Located south-east of I'odu.
Rö Tü Djöh Vö - A smaller continent, but second largest in population. Populated mostly by Dwarves, Orcs, and Gnomes. Located to the west of Taldor.
lʹodu- The small island continent completely iced over, the furthest northern piece of land, it is only inhabited by wildlife, and races which can survive the harsh cold. Those who can survive here, will find it full of rich minerals and resources. It is the second smallest in population, even in its harsh conditions. Located just North-east of Taldor.
Taldor:
The largest continent, also goes by other names depending on the nation, but Taldor is the most common one.
TalendanEmpire:
One of the largest stable nations, located on the West coast of Taldor.
Tur'on - The largest city and capitol of the empire. The Magic College is located there, as well as many other important places, including the Tur'on Castle, Owned by the reclusive and isolated Emperor Yuriel Talendan II. Run by the Emperor and the council of elders, six elder wizards with extreme levels of power. Two of them run the College of Magic, the others run other important Empire Organizations.
Galandria-
2nd largest city in the Talendan Empire, it is a bustling city of a great variety of things. It is well known for it's grand arena, which people travel far and wide to participate in and view. It has large residential areas and a large market and working area with a lot of buildings clumped nearby and a lot of small roads and alleys leading between the small places of work and manufacturing, with an opening near the middle that has all of the main shops. It is located near the center of the empire, but is closer to the south.
Xandalor- 3rd Largest City in the Talendan Empire, not much is known about it to the south, other than it is as far north as the empire stretches, located only 30 miles from the gates out of the empire into the frosted wild. However those who do know more about the northern parts of the empire would know It's a busy city, dealing mostly with exotic trade from beyond the frosted wild and selling it to the Empire in the Capitol for funding, which is how this city has grown so large, while it used to only be a small trading village about 100 years ago, people who have not been to it in at least 10 years will realize a huge change even now. It is mostly a Trading and Business city, dealing with a lot of storage, many large buildings for enterprises and businesses and the etc, many exotic shops in a large shopping center, and not a very large residential area.
Trisilion- 4th Largest City in the Talendan Empire, the smallest of the major cities. Wedged between two mountains on very flat land, It is also referred to as the city of magic. It is located to the far east of the empire. Not Common Knowledge for outsiders: The whole city uses magic day to day, and it is where a lot of magical people tend to live. Retired wizards and sorcerers live there, etc. The city is built in a semi valley, on very flat land with a short mountain range behind it (about 3 large mountains across, the city is built between the 2 closer to the south.) One of the mountains holds a lot of magical materials and is the cause of the constant flow of magic throughout the town. Magical things are easier to come by here and so are some of the most powerful Spell-casters.
Taltown- A small town that the group started in. Containing a single road through the middle that breaks off into one long road down the middle. The town is in a semi T shape from a certain point of view. It's a very small town but houses some interesting things. Residential areas are off of the main two roads, and seem to be packed in the open space behind the buildings lined up to the roads. There small discreet cobblestone paths leading between the residential areas so that the main thing someone passing through sees is all of the businesses, such as the Tavern, the general store, and the stables.
Tulfenhal- Modest cozy gnome/halfling village"
Frosted Wild -
The extremely harsh cold environment shielded by mountains, partially uncharted and extremely dangerous. Only one major settlement which is a dwarven mining stronghold.
魔族帝国 Mazoku Dynasty:
The Dynasty to the far north-east, inhabited mainly by Tieflings. It has grown substantially considering the short amount of time it has been in existence. It only came to be about 200 years ago, right after the great spellplague. Ruled by Emperor Shujō Ginkaku {Ginkaku Shujō} who is considered a kind emperor, one of peaceful times who is surprisingly accepting of everyone who meets him, and Empress Shujō Kisaki {Kisaki Shujō} Who is considered even more kind than the emperor himself. She grants miracles to those who can manage to ever see her, it is said that she is rarely laid eyes upon, only by those considered worthy.
滴雨水Shizuku Usui
Capitol Port City, huge place of trade across continents and with other nations, it is so new it doesn’t have any official walls, only watch towers at each corner, but the city is growing past those as more and more people move to it from all over, mostly tieflings seeking refuge from discrimination, but also dragonborn seeking a place to belong. There’s probably not a single race you won’t see here.
血液 Ketsueki
Also called the city of blood, it is the second largest city in the dynasty, and also the site of the initial creation of tieflings, as well as the great incursion of avernus, where the wars waged between devils and demons opened portals into the prime material plane, where the two continue to wage battles amongst the now rebuilt city. It is considered rude to mention the incursion while in the city, as many are still mourning the losses of old loved ones. Many people have died here, supposedly enough to flood the entire city with blood, which explains its name. Nonetheless it is a beautiful new city, full of smaller, newer buildings and a large population of refugees that feel discriminated but can not find space in the port city.
Iridian Coalition/Veridium Supremacy:
The Iridian Coalition is a newly founded alliance of small feudal lands which have risen up in rebellion to the Veridium Supremacy, a nation which rules their citizens with a strict oligarchy, one which encourages mistreatment and slavery of outsiders, murders countless innocents upon suspicion of being "empire scum", and countless other horrible acts of tyranny. The Iridian Coalition won in the civil war, and has created new government policies, such as the abolishing of slavery, freeing of all current slaves, setting minimum pay wages to prevent unpaid work (slavery), and creating a new system of government which supports an open market and direct decisions from the people of the nation. Many people still support the Veridium Supremacy, but those who do are mostly in hiding, as any sign of support towards the tyrannical, unjust former government will result in immediate exile or execution, to prevent further bloodshed and war.
Upon making this great change and winning the war, the Iridian Coalition made a peace treaty with the Talendan Empire, and to show that they mean to be allies, the emperor gave them land to occupy within the empire, which soon became the strange city of Iliodon. The city runs from a mix of Empire and Iridian laws, with all guards and soldiers in the city only really enforcing the laws of the coalition. The occupying force of soldiers numbers around 1,200 men total, ready to aid the empire if they are ever attacked. The empire is also establishing an occupying force in Iridian, but with the destruction of Tur'on, it has been delayed.
Veritas
The capitol city of Iridian, ironically named after the prince of truth, the former dictator of the city filled it's citizens with propaganda and lies. Still recovering from civil war, it is in a rough state, but still the largest and most popular city in the coalition. It has a massive market, along with a huge industry in laboring workers, mining ore and coal, and creating large amounts of rare ingredients such as black powder and rock salt. Located on the salt flats near a stone mountain range, the city gets massive amounts of valuable resources. There are plenty of homes, ranging from fine to cheap. The recent civil war means that many people can no longer afford these homes, and so there is a shantytown outside of the city, where those too poor or out of work go for a roof over their head, shelter from the sun.
Cyric
Named after the Prince of Lies, this coastal city is located on the southern coast, taking up a huge stretch of land. The name of the city is likely to be officially changed to "Cyr" as that is what most of the Iridian people call it. Only outsiders and people not loyal to the Iridian Coalition still call it by it's name, as to the people of the city the name is a curse on them, being that they were lied to their whole lives. This is a city mostly of ex-slaves and traders, most of the buildings are quickly erected with cheap material, just to provide homes to the massive amount of people. It doesn't have much industry, but it does have a massive amount of residential area, and a decent marketplace.
Lots of fun detail here. I would almost like a pronunciation guide.
I would suggest adding a summary of your world. A basic description that makes it a special place to play in. When a DM presents me with a homebrew world my first question is 'why'? Why are we playing this instead of one of the more standard campaign settings? Is there a special gimmick like bloodlines in Birthright or Dragon Marks in Eberron? Or is the world really different like Dark Sun? I just want to know what is special about it beyond a collection of nation and city names.
