Okay guys so I've been having so much fun playing and learning all about DnD and all of the creative ways to tell stories from it!
Some of my friends and I are starting a new campaign and I want to create a blog based around this game where I write down everything that takes place in the game and translate it into a story; I want yalls opinions to see if anyone would actually read what happens each and every session??
A lot of people use https://www.obsidianportal.com/ for this sort of thing, but I'm sure you have something in mind. You could also create a thread in the lore forum and update that with your blog posts as well.
Translating games like that is an excellent idea, much like Subsistcyber said. There will always be readership for DND related things and many people read actual game transcripts for ideas or just to become a better writer/DM themselves.
Take the webshow Critical Role for example. It's just a group of voice actors playing DND. They have well over 100 episodes (averaging at 3 hours long) and the viewership is immense! Long story short, it's never a bad idea to turn a campaign into a story, I've done it once or twice already and the player enjoyed reading it and it served as a great way to remember what happened. And all in all, if you enjoy the process, go ahead and do it! Even if that's all that it becomes, it'll be worth it

In the beginning the Universe was created. This has made a lot of people angry and has been widely regarded as a bad move...

Thanks friends!
I would love to see this! Any update on where this is being posted?
I am thinking of doing something similar, except making it into an audio format, with the players voicing their characters in an audio story telling of the adventure.
Be sure to remember that you ought to be making this for you! If you want to make content and share it with the world, but it you want to build a large following and fanbase (like Crit Role or Dice Camera Action), be sure to start with the content first.
It's awesome to hear that you're interested in sharing your experiences! I wish you luck, :-D
Depending on the campaign and setting, I would totes read this. The kind of content I would read is mostly in summary form w/ notable dialogue and events detailed! So I wouldn't read a WHOLE novel of 3rd person stuff, but recaps of each session w/ the notable happenings would be entertaining imo. Especially if your DM has their own notes at the bottom about what they thought would happen vs what actually happened (tho I am sure that might be hard since spoilers for you the players)

That could be really cool! PBP lends itself to being novelized. Obviously, I think the big issue would be pacing, unifying the writing style, transitions, etc. but it's nice since there is usually a lot of content there.

Right - and once I'm actually done with the adventure - I can read the source material for more background information and details for the narrative. You've already got unique individuals bringing their own flavor to their characters so dialog would be pretty much copied straight from their posts. The biggest thing I could foresee is who's perspective to write it from - since being part of the adventure I'm biased to my own character and their interactions with everyone - but I had figured to let the whole party proof read it as it goes along to make any changes etc from their point of view.
Why not changing POV? You could pinpoints parts of the story where X character's POV is more interesting (or has more stuff going on) than the other's, then write accordingly. I think that would make for a fun read, especially if all the characters have different personalities from each other. That was one of the reasons I really enjoyed reading a Song of Ice and Fire anyway.

Hey there everyone! It's been a while since I've been on here but I just wanted to let yall know I do have my blog up and running! Yay!! Right now I only have two posts up and they are a little bit of backstory on some of the characters but I should have some more going up here within the next few weeks!
Also with school coming back into play for me, it might take a little longer to get set up!

I play a medium amount of board games.
Great idea! I would definitely read it :)

I had planned to sit down once my PbP group finishes Storm King's Thunder and actually attempt to novelize our version of the adventure.
Skameros - Bugbear Barbarian - Out of the Abyss - By Kerrec
Follow your Arrow where it Points - Tabaxi Monk - Baldur's Gate: Descent Into Avernus (by Pokepaladdy)
Citron Pumpkinfoam - Fairy Monk - Project Point: Team Longsword

Good idea - could do each 'chapter' or task from a different characters point of view.
