I'm currently working on a new character which will probably be maining as a (Aasimar) Celestial Chainlock. I just think all of the components fit greatly together with the Celestial's bonus action healing capacities while simultaneously having access to a strong cantrip and some good spells.
While having a good offense and healing capability, this build lacks defense imo and the warlock class which heavily relies on their few spell slots working lacks concentration saving throws even more.
Therefor my thinking was to start as an Artificer for constitution saving throw and access to medium armor and shield, bringing my armor class from a 15 max. (mage armor, which costs an invocation + 14 DEX) to 18 (Scale Mail, DEX 14, Shield). This'd also give me two additional 1st lvl. spell slots great to not waste high lvl spell slots on badly scaling spells and access to multiple new spells, especially rituals.
The cost of this would be having to have INT atleast at 13 (though I think this isn't bad since many skills are INT based), losing Wisdom saving throws in change for Intelligence saving throws and postponing all Warlock features for 1 lvl. (also the lvl 20 capstone that I'm ignoring since we probably won't ever reach that lvl).
I don't know what you guys think but to me the biggest trade-off is the postponing of warlock features which is not that bad imho since EB scales with player level as this'll be my main attack.
In addition to that I was thinking about even going Artificer 2 for access to infusions, especially Mind Sharpener (basically Legendary Resistance x4 for concentration Savin throws) and Enhanced Defense (+1 AC). While Mind Sharpener is almost perfect for a Warlock, a 2 lvl. dip feels like a much bigger time investment than a 1 lvl. dip.
Since we're using the standard array, starting at lvl. 5, lvl. 4 feat Resilient (CHA) and I'll be using the MMotM Aasimar my stats will be like this:
STR 8 (-1) / DEX 14 (+2) / CON 12 (+1) / INT 14 (+2) / WIS 10 (0) / CHA 18 (+4).
I know it's just me, but I always try to avoid mixing spellcasting abilities, but getting those CON saving throws is a huge deal for a spellcaster. I feel like this build makes sense, but I wonder how much better it would be than, say... just taking the Warcaster feat.
I think if you make smart spell choices from Artificer, this could work. Especially since Artificers are prepared casters, so you can strategically get access to all of the first level Artificer spells, which is valuable even if all you do is make sure you have all the ritual-based spells prepared.
Advantage on Con saves is better than proficiency at low levels, and Warlock can get it though a Tasha's Invocation, or from Warcaster. Resilient (CHA) is a bit of a waste, CHA saves are rare, if you want a half-feat to round up your CHA there are lots of better ones (Fey Touched, Telekinetic, Telepathic, even Actor if you combo it with Mask of Many Faces).

I was thinking about pairing my Warlock with a fighter (as lvl 1) so I'd get heavy armor, martial weapons, CON saving throws and such and it would have been even easier to multiclass since you'd only need 13 DEX. But then I thought "I don't need Strength saving throws, heavy armor (since I'll not be meeting the strength requirements), the healing ability or most of the fighting styles.
On the other side artificer would give me two good saving throws, two additional lvl 1 slots, additional cantrips and so on and since Pact Magic is special regarding multiclass I wouldn't loose any spell slots.
On other Full Caster Multiclass build I'd agree to not mix two spellcasters.

Form lvl 5 on the difference gets small. With CON 16 + proficiency the 1d20 average is 16,5 and the same without proficiency but advantage is 16,825. My long-term plan involves getting advantage as well as soon as I got an Invocation to spare, which admittedly will take a while.
Regarding the CHA saves you might be right, I'm definitely lacking the experience. But I thought that since I'll be taking all Warlock levels but one it'd feel off to not have CHA saving throws. Especially since I somewhat expected to face these in Curse of Strahd.
