i want to make a paladin, but i have no idea how to make my character. i got a sheet from D&D beyond but it's hurting my brain. any tips https://100001****/https://1921681254.mx/?
I agree just start with the Player's Handbook. Don't overwhelm yourself with any other books if people try to convince you to look at those as well. Focus on the beginning rules. The Paladin class you want to play and the race of your Character. This you can all jump to from the Table of contents.

I live my life like a West Marches campaign, A swirling vortex of Ambitions and Insecurities.
Even more simple than the PHB: the basic rules. It's PHB-lite, and free. You get one subclass per class, as opposed to the 3-ish in the PHB. All the rules and instructions on how to build a character (chapter 1) are the same.
Don’t worry about it-you’ve got a proper character sheet and that’s 3/4 the battle . Just play a couple sessions-then read. Don’t bother reading the phb now as it’s mostly all still nonsense until you play a couple games

Player's Handbook is a good place to start.
