I’m playing a dragonborn who is 3rd lvl oathbreaker paladin and one lvl hexblade., and next lvl gaining increase stat or feat. I already know that I want both to maximize charisma (is now 18), but also get the resilient feat for constitution (which is now 15). The one that I don’t take now I’ll take in 4 lvls, but my question is what’s better for the in between lvls. Maximilian charisma has the plus of damage for hexblade and spell dc and so on, while getting the resilient dramatically increases come saves for concentration for spells like hex, which can potentially deal more damage (which is more my concern with this character). I’d like to hear your thoughts on the matter. Thanks!
My plan is to proceed with paladin lvls only. Current stats are
16,14,15,12,15,18
the character is also a mounted combatant. He’s also cares less about maximizing the party’s abilities and mostly cares about excelling in battle himself
All right. Well, the one level dip into Hexblade means that you don't need any further strength, obviously. And your stats look pretty good all around. Resilient Constitution is a good feat, but two levels after you get your ASI/feat you're getting Aura of Protection which adds your Charisma bonus to all saves, which means that you'll already have a very good Con save. With that, maxing out your charisma is a great choice given how many different bonuses you'll get from it.
If you're interested in a feat, Mounted Combatant is a good one if you're already fighting on a mount a lot (if not, it can wait), and Dragon Fear might be worth considering. Strike of the Giants gives you a damage boost if it's allowed. There's a lot of options you can choose from.

Find your own truth, choose your enemies carefully, and never deal with a dragon.
"Canon" is what's factual to D&D lore. "Cannon" is what you're going to be shot with if you keep getting the word wrong.

What are your stats currently and what direction do you want to go with your character?

Thanks, that’s what I thought. I still might want to take resilience later on, and dragon fear is also nice. We’ll see how far this campaign goes
While increasing charisma is generally better it does make any fiends and undead within 10 feet of you hit harder once you reach Paladin 7.
Sure, but then again, I might have some of my own
