"I wish to cast Prestidigitation."
Not wish that he could cast it permanently. Just one cast of it

Trying to get your physical content on Beyond is like going to Microsoft and saying "I have a physical Playstation disk, give me a digital Xbox version!"

So, you used your 9th level spell slot, the only one you have, to then regain that 9th level spell slot you just expended. This could be a never-ending loop!
Until it kills you from the backlash of wish, unless you lose the ability to cast wish before then.
My 9 year old used Wish to make it rain Thanksgiving turkey's on a battlefield to stop an army of Gnolls. They ate for days and forgot why they were going to attack the city in the first place. The party then went and defeated the evil Wizard mass controlling the Gnolls lol.

Gnolls are always hungry, their hunger can't be satiated.
Don’t ruin a thanksgiving miracle for his 9 year old. 😉

Not trying to, just letting him know that even after eating hundreds of pounds of turkey, they'd still be hungry. This would be a good distraction, and would allow for the group to distract the gnolls for a great amount of time. They have endless hunger, but not bag of holding stomachs.
Reminder- Volos confirms after a large scale feast such as consuming an entire village or say acres and acres of magic butterball turkeys, "a sated gnoll rests, knowing that it has pleased Yeenoghu." Granted it only lasts a few days but again, that was the time needed to defeat their master and allow the relief forces to arrive and disburse the Gnoll warband.

I assume their hunger temporarily ends when they have their stomachs completely full, to avoid internal organs rupturing, or barfing, but I believe this would end as soon as they have room in their stomachs for more food.
Like I said, I had to go off of Volo's flavor text to adjudicate how it all played out. At first I was going to state that it only stopped the army long enough to eat but then I pulled up Volo's real fast on the Ipad and saw the note about resting after being sated. So the army filled up on a mountain of magical turkeys and then basically slept for 2-3 days.

No?” will be my epitaph.

I agree, I would do the same thing. This is a nice story. A great way to use a Wish.

I wish I had another permanent 9th-level spell slot.
