I am making somewhat of a "shopping list" for my hexblade/battlemaster. I know I want a good shield since I am taking the shield master so I was thinking of a +whatever I can get shield. Then I was thinking of getting a staff of striking/power to get that extra damage and spells and the smite I can get at level 5 warlock. What other magic items would be a good pick for this build?
Ring of spell storing is always good for a warlock, for you that mix it with battlemaster still more, if you have acces to it don't esitate. About shields, any shield +something will be enough. Also ring of evasion can be good, as i suppose you have already good AC and bump dex saves can be a good idea as i don't think you have more than 14.
Ring of spellstoring on my hexblade/battlemaster has been a prize. I load it with 5 shield spells and have my two slots to cast from. If you are fortunate enough to have another caster in the party, you could ask for other spells to be cast into the ring opening up your options. My favorite would be: 1 silvery barbs, 1 absorb elements, and then 3 shield spells. All are great to use defensively, do not require concentration, and are clutch reaction spells to save your booty.
Edit: I did want to add the one HUGE issue with the ring, it stores your slot level and not the spell level. I, and my GM, both felt that the wording of the item was not thinking about the interaction of a warlock's slots always being maximized for non up-casted spells. We agreed to use the spell level unless the spell would have an up-casting component to it.

Pick up a Dark shard amulet as well.

IMHO, Earthdawn is still the best fantasy realm, Shadowrun is the best Sci-Fi realm, and Dark Sun is the best D&D realm.
