About the ability disadvantage feature. Does this include ability saving checks (strength check to get out of a grapple) or just on ability checks (strength check to life a big rock)?
"Escaping a Grapple. A grappled creature can use its action to escape. To do so, it must succeed on a Strength (Athletics) or Dexterity (Acrobatics) check contested by your Strength (Athletics) check."
Escaping a grapple in the ordinary fashion uses an Ability Check, so it qualifies for the Hex spell Disadvantage if the chosen ability score is used.
A Saving Throw is not an Ability Check, so Hex does not affect those.

Thank you.
