I'm thinking of multiclassing my fighter into Warlock for story purposes. He has a special book from his background (he studied dunamis) with shifting pages that has come up several times during roleplay, so I'm thinking he could become a celestial warlock possibly with a pact to the Luxon.
Would five/six levels of fighter pair well with warlock? Looking at the class, I'm not sure if a few levels of Warlock would add much to Fighter or not. (Note, my fighter is the closest my team has to a magic guy except the paladin or ranger, who just happen to be able to use spell slots :p. Im the one who knows history and magic lore, lol). Unless I'm mistaken about that, it seems like it would be an all-in on Warlock kind of choice.
Quick warlock dips can give you some really useful stuff, beyond the bog standard eldritch blast
If you're the "magic guy" in the party, Invocations like Eldritch Sight (detect magic at will) would be very useful. If you go to level 3 with it, Pact of the Tome opens up ALL the ritual spells
It wouldn't necessarily help you be more fighter-y, other than the healing provided by Celestial, but it would definitely help that aspect of your character

Active characters:
Edoumiaond Willegume "Eddie" Podslee, Vegetanian scholar (College of Spirits bard) Lan Kidogo, mapach archaeologist and treasure hunter (Knowledge cleric) Mardan Ferres, elven private investigator (Assassin rogue) Peter "the Pied Piper" Hausler, human con artist/remover of vermin (Circle of the Shepherd druid) Xhekhetiel, halfling survivor of a Betrayer Gods cult (Runechild sorcerer/fighter)
Our party is a ranger...with a mean streak. A paladin...with a mean streak. (Both of whom aren't very...cerebral characters :p) A fighther who is new to the party (and group), but seems kind of nobleish, but a otherwise pretty fighter-y. And my echo knight who has a background of a scholarly type (who smacks things real good with any kind of stick or bladed stick). Those invocations and some of the spell selections were definitely speaking to me!
