The ring of spell storing is usually not considered a good fit for warlocks because of the scaling slots they would be forced to use versus the kinds of spells usually used in the ring. The ring holds based on slot level used not spell level. It would be similar to using a Rod of the Pact Keeper without the bonus to att/DC. As long as your pact slots are 1, you could use its full capabilities, then when they rise to two it will hold 2 spells, then level 3 holds only 1 spell from then on up to 5.
Most folks keep Shield, Absorb Elements, or other level 1 defensive spells loaded. Also, giving these spells to a front liner can be super helpful if they have an attunement slot for it.
EDIT: Forgot to ask the question of what type of Warlock? That really alters the items that would be beneficial. But honestly, anything that grants extra spells through charges is nice. It allows more flexibility if your game runs on few short rests.

Dump Hex on it - which you really don't need to scale - and it will free up that slot for other castings. Plus, if you lose concentration, you just dump another Hex from the ring.
There are really a lot of non-scaling Warlock spells that don't scale that would be perfect to put on the ring - freeing you up to cast your spells that scale (Misty Step, Mirror Image, Spider Climb, Tongues, Sickening Radiance, Gas Form, etc.)
That is the thing, the ring is attached to your SPELL SLOT LEVEL, not the spell's level. Once you reach 5th level and your spell slots are 3rd, the ring only holds one of your spells. Up to level 2 the ring holds 5 spells, up to level 4 it will hold 2 spells, after that it only will ever hold 1 spell.

IMHO, Earthdawn is still the best fantasy realm, Shadowrun is the best Sci-Fi realm, and Dark Sun is the best D&D realm.

Hex is still a valid use of the Ring of Spell Storing, regardless. It's always good to have an extra casting of Hex (or two). You may not always be able to use 100% of the Ring's capacity, but this problem goes away once you reach 9th level. Last time I played a Warlock, I just kept Hex (upcast to 5th) in my Ring of Spell Storing, and saved my own Pact Magic slots for other things.

Surprised a Ring of Spell Storing was not on that list.

Ahhh, I get what you are stating now - and of course valid.
