I am making a fathomless warlock and I can't decide if I should take hex or not. I already have a bonus action with the subclass feature (basically a free spiritual weapon for those who don't know). It could be nice to stack them both since it seems like if I have hex active the tentacle attacks would trigger the extra damage from hex. I can't decided if it is worth it or not. Thoughts?
For reference, I am planning on being a battlefield-controller type. I'll probably have things like lance of lethargy and repelling blast which could allow for pushing enemies back and slowing them down 20 ft per turn (10 from evocation 10 from tentacle). I like the idea of casting area of effect spells to chaptalize on this, which would obviously preclude hex being concentrated on.
Well, you'll only be able to summon a tentacle so many times, so having hex isn't that big a conflict in then long run. Also, should you want to use it, it'll augment your ability, just in later turns.
It would likely still be worth it vs high hit point enemies especially bosses. Other spells will deal with legendary resistances and with a warlocks limited slots that isn't worth it. And if you are hitting round after round the same creature the bonus action problem is limited. A bit niche but a lot of the warlocks spell choices work like that.

What am I supposed to do with a signature?
