If you get the warcaster feat you can use a cantrip for an attack of oportunity, and no disadvantage to use spells in close combat. If you get the repelling blast each of your repelling blasts puch back the target 10 feet if they hit. If you get the polearm master feat and use a staff you get an attack of opertunity when someone enters your reach.
Do I miss something, or would this not make it insanely hard to get into close combat with that warlock (unless getting rushed by multiple foes)? Warcaster seem to allready be a solid pick for a feat, but would it in your oppinion be worth it to get the polearm master feat later on as well?
That is pretty good, but it seems like the rest of polearm master is a waste. I wouldn't say that it is insane though, as you only have one reaction, and with repelling blast you are probablly gonna get really far away from your enemies.

War caster does not remove disadvantage at melee range for ranged spells.

For a Hexblade all of them are nice, when I get my next feat Im going to choose both repelling blast and Warcaster. Gonna be a blast! (Pun intended)
